Scrapping4fun #53 NON Traditional Christmas Colors

Hello fellow crafters!!  It's been a terribly busy week around here.  Tomorrow is my baby boy's 5th birthday.  Where has the time went?  At least he still loves Mickey Mouse and does not want to grow up too fast.  We have a busy weekend with a birthday get together tomorrow night and Halloween fun Saturday. With all that fun happening, who's ready for another fun challenge at Scrapping4fun?

For the next 2 weeks we want to see projects that contain NON-Traditional Christmas Colors.  Get ready to put on some shades ;o)

Here's the inspiration photo.  As you can tell by my card, which one of these pics really stuck out.

I don't know why, but that hot pink was screaming out me.  I design a card with hot pink and lemon lime colors.  I first stamped the sentiment in a Rose Pink, but it looked too red to me.  So...change of plans, the neon green worked out better.  Some die-cut snowflakes, a lime green ribbon and some bright colored stripes where added to make it complete.

Here's the inside.

thanks for looking and reading :o)  Please check out the rest of the DT inspiration projects.

I would like to enter my BRIGHT card into the following challenges:

stamp used: Unity - Peace Tree
paper used: Bazzill-Granny Smith & Hot Pink, My Mind's Eye-Alphabet Soup
die-cuts used: MFT Oval Stax1 & Stax2, Fishtail Flag Stax
embellishment: Really Reasonable Ribbon

Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog #64

Hello and happy Autumn!  I went to the Apple Festival this weekend and got apple cider, apple cinnamon doughnut, BBQ, and a hayride, so I'm ready for the cooler weather now :o)

It's time for another wonderful challenge at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog.  For the next 2 weeks, it's Anything Goes, but remember, there must be some stamping rubber/clear or digital on your project.

Thank you to our 3 wonderful sponsors.  That means 3 wonderful winners will be chosen by the DT.

Winner will receive $10 gift certificate.

2 images of choice to the winner

Winner will receive $10 gift certificate

For my card I used a sponsor image from Dr Digi called Blunder Woman.  I giggled when I colored this image.  I thought of so many different sentiments and ways to use this image.  Then I was asked to make some birthday cards for older people at a office, so this one became a birthday card. I just typed up the sentiment, something I've seen a hundred times and it's fitting.

This hero of a woman was colored with my color pencils.  I found the dp by googling super hero paper, there are so many companies that make paper to buy for images like this.

Here's the inside.  With a sassy outside sentiment, I needed a witty inside sentiment.  I stamped 2 sentiments inside this card

thanks for looking and reading :o)

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Aged to Perfection

Hello Friday!!  I use Unity Stamps all the time, but forget to post them on Friday to play Friends with Flair with Unity.  (I guess they changed the posting, it's Tuesday through Friday to link up your Unity projects, which helps me out some...lol.)

I was asked to created a card for a neighbor going to a surprise birthday party.  The guest of honor is a wine fanatic, so the theme was "Wine & Friends Aged to Perfection".  Lucky me I have some Unity stamps to use for this.

Here's the tri-fold front of the card.  I used Let's Uncork and Wine&Friends stamps for the front.  Of course, cork ribbon had to be used.

Inside the card I used 2 more stamps from Unity that was in a grab bag, the glasses and wine bottle.

I typed up the sentiment for the inside of the card to match the theme.

Since I knew the card was going into a basket the neighbor made, I also did the outside of the envelope for her.

Here's the pair together.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

Scrapping4fun - #52 Thanksgiving

Hello fellow crafters!  I hope everyone is enjoying the weather where there at.  I'm taking the kids to the Apple Festival at a farm around the corner this weekend.  They have fresh apple cider (adult and kid friendly), pumpkin doughnuts (that they make right there), a hayride with Johnny Appleseed and lots of other Fall activities.  Can't wait :o)

I hope you are ready for another challenge at Scrapping4fun.  We will be celebrating Thanksgiving here in the States in just a little over a month.  My family comes in town and I do A LOT of cooking.  With that said, for the next 2 weeks we want to see projects about Thanksgiving and/or giving thanks to someone special.

For this challenge, Aliciabel is sponsoring this challenge and has a prize for a lucky winner.

For this challenge I used the digital image Turkey Thumbs Up by Just Ink Lined.  (As I linked the image up for this post. the image is a FREEBIE right now).  He's a goofy looking turkey, that's why I liked him.  The image was colored with my color pencils.  I typed the sentiment up, because I thought this is probably how my family feels when they leave the table at Thanksgiving.

After our Thanksgiving dinner, we like to play games.  Also, every year we put a big puzzle together as a family.  This turns into, who worked the hardest putting all the pieces together, into someone hiding the last piece of the puzzle, that way they can be claimed as the master puzzler.  It's always lots of fun that week.

Here's the inside.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:

stamp used: Just Ink Lined - Turkey Thumbs Up
paper used: MFT tangy orange, the Paper studio white & kraft, Tracy Wray (MiRan) designer paper

Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog #63 - Ribbon or Lace, Oh My

Happy Fall!!  Been hit with a lot of rain this last week and lots more the last couple of days.  I just hoping for some sunshine very soon to dry things up a little.  Hurricane weather is never fun.

I hope you are ready for another challenge at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog.  For the next 2 weeks we want to see projects with Ribbon or Lace.  Don't forget, we also want to see some stamping rubber, clear and/or digital on your project.

We have 3 wonderful sponsors for this challenge.

The winner will receive 20% off gift certificate for website.

The winner will receive 2 images of choice.

The winner will receive $10 gift certificate.

Thank you wonderful sponsors :o)

I got to work with this sponsor image from All Dressed Up called Magical Day.  I thought this was a cutie.  Since I printed the image pretty big, a gift bag was in order.  Maybe a great treat bag :o)  The image is colored with my color pencils.  I know Halloween cats are suppose to be black, but I have 3 of the cutest white kittens I'm weaning right now.  (There is a total of 5 kittens: 3 white and 2 black with a little bit a white.  They are all cuties.)  So, this little girl has a white kitty.

Here's the image close up.  I created a moon and night background for this image.  Yes, the background is also done with color pencils.  Lots of layers of coloring.  If you color with pencils, quality pencils, make sure you have a piece of paper or napkin under your hand.  This will keep you from smudging your image and getting it all over your hand.  I also spray my finish image to keep it from smudging or from rubbing off.  It's a UV archival matte spray made for color pencil work.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

I would like to enter this bag in the following challenges:

stamp used: All Dressed Up Stamps-Magical Day
paper used: Me & My BIG ideas-mambi sheets, Echo Park Paper-the apothecary emporium
embellishments: 3 Girl Jam-Harvest Orange & jute, Tim Holtz buckles

Scrapping4fun #51 - Pumpkins

Hello fellow crafters!  Can you tell it's Fall with all the pumpkins and Halloween stuff around? Autumn smells of pumpkins, cinnamon and apples is heavenly.

I hope you are ready for another challenge at Scrapping4fun.  For the next 2 weeks we want to see pumpkins on your projects.  Can't wait to see!!

We do have a sponsor for this challenge.  Please take a look at the challenge blog for more information.

For this challenge I'm getting a head start on some goodie boxes for Halloween.  My youngest will be turning 5 on the 30th and he wants a Mickey Mouse, Police and Dinosaur party....hmmm.  I'm sure someone will like these boxes.

I used a milk carton die-cut from Sizzix to make the boxes.  Just make sure you have the paper the correct way before die-cutting.  As you can see, one of the boxes the paper is upside down...oopps.  That is rare for me to do that, but it happens.  I made sure pumpkin die-cuts and a pumpkin ribbon was added to complete my pumpkin challenge.

I did a all diamond design on this one.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

I like to enter my treat boxes in the following challenges:

paper used: Me & My BIG Ideas-mambi sheets, Echo Park Paper-the apothecary emporium, Jillibean Soup-country pumpkin chowder
die-cuts used: Sizzix-milk carton, MFT Lisa Johnson designs-primitive pumpkins
embellishments: twine, Michael's-Halloween ribbon
