Hidden Treasure with LTSCB Blog Hop

The Love To Scrap! Challenge Blog design team is excited to bring you our "Find The Hidden Treasure" Blog Hop! We're being sponsored by Pink Gem Designs! Come hop with us for a chance to win 2 single Pink Gem Designs images!

There are three gems hidden somewhere on our blogs. As you hop, look on each design team member's blog to find a hidden gem and be sure to leave some love while you're there! Once you have found all three gems, email the locations where you found the gems (blog names and blog links) to ltscb@mail.com. All the correct guesses will be entered into the drawing for the Pink Gems Designs images!

The LTSCB designers are using gemstones on our inspiration projects. Everyone participating in the blog hop is invited to link up a project using gemstones for an EXTRA entry into the drawing! **Be sure to use the same email address to email your guesses that you use to link up your project so we can make sure you're given two entries into the drawing!**

For this challenge I used this cute digital image from Pink Gem Designs called Angelica with Gifts.  I colored her with my color pencils.   I kinda wished I did the coat red and the glove green, but it's an after thought now...lol.

I did use some gems, but a little bit more sparkle was needed.  I used Stickles on the ground, but also in the puff paint on the hat.  You can't miss the big bling the ribbon is wrapped by.

Here's the inside.
thanks for reading and looking :o)

Crazy Challenge Guest Designer

Hello fellow crafters!  I'm excited because today I'm a guest designing for The Crazy Challenge.  I had the honor of being Top 3 Pick in their Fairies challenge.  Thank you for this opportunity ladies!

For the next 2 weeks we would like to see projects with water-coloring.  I will admit, I'm not a big watercolor person.  I do use my water color pencils from time to time, but not much else.  For challenge I did a watercolor background.

I used Gelatos to create my background for this image.  After rubbing the Gelatos into the water paper, I took a water brush to them.  The image is from Unity stamp set Growing in Unity.  I decided the cross brad with ribbon was appropriate for this card.

Howdy Tiddly Inks

Hello fellow crafters :o)  Today I'm here with a post for the Tiddly Inks Design Team Call.  I was introduce to these cute images at Kit and Clowder classes and decided to try for their design team.

I decided to use this cutie of an image Wryn-Howdy Cowgirl.  She couldn't be a cowgirl without being a redhead ;o) I colored the image with my Prisma color pencils.  The rustic colors seemed to be perfect for the country feel.  I had a barbed wire die-cut that I added to the bottom and a star to mimic the stars in the dp.

I had a horse charm to add, that is hanging by leather cord.  I played around with different material to hang the charm, but the leather seemed fitting.

Here's the inside.

Scrapping4Fun #49 - Designer Paper

Hello fellow crafters!  It's halfway through August already, the kids are back in school and Fall is approaching quickly.  Every year goes by faster :o(  Wish it would slow down just a bit.

I hope you are ready for another challenge at Scrapping4fun.  For the next 2 weeks we want to see projects with Designer Paper.

Our wonderful DT Leader Rachelle sent the team a pack of Pion Design paper, all the way from Sweden.  It was like Christmas!!  Working with the pack Grandmother's School Book, we each came up with some beautiful designs, you must take a look.  This paper is just absolutely beautiful with the vintage feel.  I used 4 different papers from this pack to create my card.  The cute little tag is part of the paper pack that I fussy cut out and stamped thank you on it.

This stamp is one of the first wooden stamps I ever bought.  Going down a highway in South Carolina near the Georgia border I saw a calligraphy store and had to stop.  At the time I was in a Calligraphy Guild in Louisiana and was looking for some good nibs.  The store owner was converting  her calligraphy store to a stamp store.  I fell in love with this vintage stamp.  I've only used it once before and didn't even color it, because I stamped it on some velum.  This image was perfect for this paper.  Thank you Rachelle for the paper !! :o)

Here's the inside.

Hope to see your project in the challenge!

Here's a closer look at the image that I colored with my color pencils.  I did google some flowers to make sure they look good enough to be real.

Season Challenge

We had a fun challenge on Kit and Clowder Facebook page.  Using the image Love in Spring by Ching-Chou Kuik, we had to color the image in our favorite season.  Of course, I went with Autumn/Fall.

Here's the image colored with my colored pencils.  During the Fall season there are vibrant colors that are so beautiful.  Even though shades of green are my favorite color, I love earthy tones of color too.  I also tried an ombre technique for the hair.

I put the finish image on a card.  Lots of layers and golden tones of Fall was used.  I found Autumn Shades digital paper from The Paper Shelter to use and I also used Michele R Design paper.  It wouldn't be Fall without a touch of burlap.

Here's the inside.

Scrapping4fun - #48

Hello fellow crafters!  I hope you are ready for another challenge at Scrapping4fun.  For the next 2 weeks we want to see projects using Washi tape.

I had some sassy looking Washi tape, so I thought I would use this sassy image.  The image is from My Favorite Things Pure Innocence line, this image is retired, it's called Cute-A-Tude.  I had a lesson learned using my Washi tape on my die-cutter plates.  After I die-cut the bottom border, I realized it picked up every little piece of paper that was stuck in the grooves of the plates.  So I tried it again and still had a few pieces show up.  I finally got smart and put the Washi tape on white paper and die-cut the flowers.  I used one Washi tape for the bottom border and flowers and another Washi for the center of the flowers.

I will admit, I don't use a whole lot of Washi tape on my cards, but found it great for marking certain objects.  The kids kept taking off with my phone charger and other chargers, so I put Washi tape that had flowers on my chargers.  Yup!!  That does the trick of them taking off with my chargers...lol.

Here's the inside.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

I hope to see you in the challenge and look at the rest of the DT for more inspiration.

Thank you sponsors!

For this challenge I got to work with this elegant looking fox.  It's Autumn Fox from Lemon Shortbread.  I will admit that I don't have tons of white embellishments.  I do have lace, ribbons and a few white flowers, but everything has color.  I guess I need to work on that.  I did make sure that I had lots of white layers.  As you can see I did use a white ribbon and some white flowers.

Here's a closer look at this clever little fox.  I pulled up pictures from the internet to see some of the colors.  I didn't realize how many different colors they could be.  They remind me SO much of my Shiba Inu I lost a couple of years ago.

I found this image on google and thought it was interesting looking fox.  It's a Russian fox.
