Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog Hop - Three's A Crowd

We're turning THREE in March! Can you believe it?! The Love To Scrap! Challenge Blog Design Team is proud to bring you our "Three's A Crowd!" Blog Hop to celebrate our third birthday! We're being sponsored by Your Next Stamp! Come hop with us for a chance to win a $25 gift card to use in the YNS Store! And as an extra added bonus, our challenge and blog hop participants may use code YNSLTS3 to receive 20% off their order - and this code is valid for the duration of our blog hop! How awesome is that?!
As you hop, leave comments! The more comments you leave, the more chances you have to win!

All of the LTSCB designers are creating BIRTHDAY inspiration projects for our blog hop. Everyone participating in the blog hop is invited to link up a birthday project for an extra entry into the drawing!

Our wonderful sponsor for this blog hop gave me the stamp set Snorkel Fun Fishy to create a project.  How cool was that!  I think this fishy is cute, and the fact that he has a snorkel on is funny.  I decided to make a shaker tag for the hop.  My first time using the Fuse-It tool and it has a learning curve.  The acetate paper I had was too thick, so quick to my feet I used a card protector to create the tag.

Some glass glitter and sequins was added in the shaker.  Some ribbon and thread to make the topper pretty. I also threw a couple of sea shells on the top.

I decided to add a pocket to the back that could hold a gift card.  (You must fuse your pocket to the back before fusing the front and back panel together.)

Here is the line-up:

We hope you are enjoying the hop and if you get lost along the way - or if you landed here in the middle of the hop and want to join in the fun - head over to the Love To Scrap!Challenge Blog to read all the details and start from the beginning!

Happy Hopping!

I would like to add this tag into the following challenges:

stamps used:  Your Next Stamp-Snorkel Fun Fishy
paper used: the Paper Studio-cream
die-cut: MFT traditional tag stax
embellishments: 3 Girl Jam summer sprinkles, Really Reasonable Ribbon, thread, Traditions shell beads, Recollections glass glitter, sequins

Dr Digi - Welcome Neighbor

Hello fellow crafters!   I'm here today with a Dr Digi post.  I just love these images they are fun and sassy.

I created a goodie bag for a new neighbor.  There has been a lot of moving activity in this small neighborhood the last couple of years.  Sometimes you need more than just a card.  What neighbor wouldn't like Derek & Deirdery Dunderton welcoming them to the neighborhood.  Deirdery has great sense of style and sass.  Derek looks like a polite gentleman.

I love the hot pink ribbon around the bottom of the bag and for the bow.  The die-cut is townscape from Tim Holtz and it seemed perfectly fitting.  Luckily, I could use up some scraps to make each house different.   I stamped on a canvas tag, which is sometimes hard with all the grooves in the material, and placed a metal key embellishment.

Here's some of the non-edible items for the goodie bag, now to bake some goodies that they can eat.

Side view of the Dunderton's.  3D glossy accent was used on their glasses.  I did make Derek's glasses look like thick glasses, because it just seemed fitting.  This was a fun project to do.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

I would like to enter my goodies bag in the following challenges:

die-cut:  Tim Holtz-townscape

Hello crafty friends!  I hope you are ready for another challenge at Scrapping4fun.  For the next 2 weeks, we want to see birthday projects.  Who couldn't use a  few more of these in their stash.

We are sponsored by the wonderful artist Julia Spiri.  Go check out her Etsy shop :o)

Working with this cute sponsor image My Little Fairy for this challenge.  I had fun coloring up this little cutie, but finishing up the project...ugh, my mojo ran away.  The image is colored with my color pencils.  I used sponge dabbers with ink to do the background circles.  It's not what I had in my head, but this is what came out of my fingers.

Here's the inside.

Dr Digi - Troll Love

Hello fellow crafters!  I'm here today with my post for Dr Digi House of Stamps.  I don't celebrate Valentine's Day....I have my reasons, but I do make cards and things for others.  Some times my older boys ask me to make them something for their gals and I don't mind.

If you haven't figured it out, I have a sense of humor.  I also like to think outside the box.

I used the new Dr Digi image Trevor the Troll as a Valentine card.  Not everyone is into the cutesy stuff and that's what I created.  Trevor the Troll is handsome in his own way.  I even added a metal rose and love charm, because he is a tough guy on the outside, but a softie inside.

The image is colored with my color pencils.  I've never really seen a troll, but I guess this is what it what look like.  Trevor is a hopeless romantic, he even wrote is own poem for his gal.

Here's the inside with Trevor's poem.

Dr Digi does have cute Valentine images, if you rather have a cutesy image.

House of Cards Shape Challenge

Hello again fellow crafters!  This is my second post for today, which is unusual for me to post twice in a day.  That just means more goodies for you to see.

This post is for the new monthly challenge at House of Cards.  This month's challenge is all about shapes, no plain square or rectangles for this challenge.

My shape card is actually a mini album die-cut with lots of curves.  I used a vintage style image from Julia Spiri called Vintage Hair.  I couldn't resist a big bow with a clock hanging, just like the one in her hair.

I tried my hand with a monochromatic color scheme.  Using just my French Grey color pencils to color the image, this was a great challenge and I love the look.  It's just adds to the vintage feel of the image.

Here's the inside.
