Let's Craft & Create: Rain or Shine

Hello crafty friends!  Today is the mid-post for Let's Craft & Create.  This month we are looking for projects that are gear towards Easter &/or April Showers.

I created this cute little card using the image Chick in the Rain from Unity.  It's nice to finally use some stamps I bought awhile back for projects.  The image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  Big yummy bow to hold the sentiment tag and the coordinating dp was a x-mas gift from a DT leader.  As you can see, I went with the April Showers challenge.

Here's the inside.

I created a birthday card using The Paper Shelter image Los Mariachi.  The image is colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  I tried to keep with the traditional colors of a mariachi band.  I also decided to keep the color combo of the design very simple.

Dr Digi: Warning Old Git

Hello Crafty Friends!  Today is my Dr Digi post.  I created a birthday card for my dad.  His bday was yesterday and he is already back from his yearly golf trip.  Every year around his birthday, him and a group of buddies go down South to play golf for a week.  My brother has been going the last several years, but he says he mainly babysit the old man.  lol.

I used Hole In One Hal for my dad's card and the Grumpy Sentiments Sheet.  I couldn't find any golf paper, so I settled on grass and some stripes.  My dad is a die hard Cubs fan and has a Cub golfing bag.

I decided to do the 3D look, but didn't add as many layers as you can.  Tried to keep it simple.  I only colored the outer edges on the underneath image.  Some crafters color the underneath layer completely grey.  It's really up to you on what you like.  Some times the underneath layer can make a good practice image.

Here's the base image with the cut out layers.

A little side angle to see the 3D.

Love to Craft! Challenge Blog #9 - Dream

Hello crafty friends!  It's hard to believe it's another month already and Spring is definitely here.  Pollen allergies are full force here and making me miserable, but I do love the Spring flowers and everything turning green.  Once everything has bloomed and the weather has settled, I'll get to enjoy the beautiful weather.

Hopefully you are ready for another challenge at Love to Craft! Challenge Blog.  I love seeing what everyone is crafting and creating.

I created a card using Little Blue Button image Dream Charlie.  Such a sweet image and every girl can dream big dreams.  I picked the sentiment from Unity Stamps called SHE, love these SHE statements in this set.  I kept this card light and airy.  The image is colored with my Prismacolor pencils.
