Lucky Birthday

Hi crafty friends!!  I'm here today with a commission card.  I was asked to create a festive card for someone's birthday that happens to be on St. Patrick's Day.  Yes, it had to be green.

I knew I wanted to make a shaker card, it allow me to play with the fuse-it tool again.  This time it went much easier with the correct weight of acetate paper.  Then I also found this great find of glitter paper.  Extra bling points for me :o)  With all that bling I had to keep the design very simple.  The image is from Bugaboo, which I colored with my color pencils.

Here's the inside, which the poem was written by the giver.

Dr Digi - Take A Hike!

Hello fellow crafters!  I'm here to day with my Dr Digi post.  First, let me tell you that Dr Digi has left his blog and went to Facebook, where we have started to run challenges.  The current challenge is all about birthdays.  So if you have a Dr Digi project that's screaming birthdays, please enter it in the challenge.

I had this image already picked out and completed before challenges started.  This is just an inspiration card.

I was a certified Cub Scout Leader for my older boys back in the days, so I had to do this image.  This is Faldaree Deirdery Dunderton image.  When you are hiking in the woods it's always good to make sure others can see you.  I think we can see Deirdery with her hot pink shirt on.  I decided to put my Cub Scout skills to the test by knot tying the double carrick bend knot.
The image is colored with my colored pencils.

Here's the inside.

Angel in Fire

Hello fellow crafters!  If you have been following my journey, you know that I have taken a coloring class at Kit and Clowder.  I took the Perfecting Pencils and for almost a year now, I've been doing the Create and Learn monthly technique class.  I've been trying to figure out how to post my coloring, since they are not on a card or project.  I have slowing been putting them a journal book.  That way I can see my progress of growth and learning.

Today I'm sharing my latest coloring.  I fell in love with this image from Christopher Kerry.  He has a package of 5 images and I will slowly get to them, but this one had to be colored first.  Actually, I want to color her up again in a different version.  I wanted her to look like she was in Hell...She not quite human or demon, but both.  That's why her skin is red going to normal skin tones.  The background can be challenging, but just breaking it down, made it very easy to do.  Except for the blending, the blending killed my hand...lol.  Anyway, I'm very pleased with this beautiful image.

This image was colored completely with Prismacolor Premier Pencils.  Artist of this image Christopher Kerry.  If you check out Christopher's website, he has free Copic tutorials.  Because of his background, he has artistic ways of teaching Copic coloring, with some neat tips.  He's approach is worth checking out :o)

Here are the 5 images in the Adult Coloring Pages.

If you prefer something unusual, but not risque, Christopher has these cute little guys to color: Friends Not Food.  He has also announced that mermaids will be arriving at the end of the month, so keep a look out for those cuties, that are not risque.
