Dr Digi - Middle Age Stud

Hello fellow crafters!  Today is Dr Digi day.  I'm showing my latest creation using Dr Digi's image Gluteus Maximus and he is a handsome dude.

This Roman guard takes his job seriously.  I decided to create a background by drawing a stonewall and dirt/pebble walkway.  Making him look like he his standing guard at the emperor's palace.  After I had him colored up, it took me forever to decide what to do with him.  I really wanted the image to stand on it's own.  Finally, I found this beautifully handmade crinkled paper and added a few antique squared brads.

The image and background was colored with my colored pencils.  Such a handsome stud :o) It did take awhile to color up, but it had to be done right to make the image stand out.

Inside the card I used a Dr Digi Funny Sentiment Sheet 2 for the sentiment.  I thought the pun was perfect and added the Happy Birthday Stud.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

stamps used: Dr Digi - Gluteus Maximus & Funny Sentiment Sheet 2
paper used: Cream, the Paper Studio crinkle red
embellishment: the Paper Studio-square antique brads
