It's time for another great challenge at
Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog. This one seems to be a favorite....Anything Goes. Remember, it must have a stamped (digi is fine) image or sentiment on the project.
We are being sponsored by
Lacy Sunshine Stamps. The winner will receive a $20 gift certificate for the store. This is one of my favorites, I have quite a few digi stamps from Lacy Sunshine. I find the girls cute and sassy!
I have completed two projects for this challenge, so it's a long post. The first project is a card using
Molly's Big Fish.
As women we should tell our men how wonderful they are in our lives and that we love to be by their sides. There are many fish in the sea, but it takes one man to treat you with respect and like a women, to me he is a great catch! When I picked this image so many months back, I wasn't for sure how I was going to use it. I found the paper at Hobby Lobby (the blue and dp). It all just came together. I had the fishing lure for awhile, all I know is that it came from Michael's all those years ago. The fish brads I had, thinking I was going to use for a different project. The sentiment came from MFT Fred Bear Goes Fishing (this is a discontinued line), just prefect for this card and for that one special man. The image was colored with water colorpencils and regular color pencils.
Here's the inside of the perfect catch. The same paper was used inside, just added the wave die-cuts.

For my second project, I couldn't help but think of a special little girl when I saw this image and imagined it on a trinket box. Girls love to have boxes to put special things to keep. My dad gave me a jewelry box when I was 6 or 7 for Christmas, and to this day I still have it. Very special to me.
Penny is a girlie girl, so pink was in order. I colored the image first and went from there. Added flowers and ribbon. The ribbon was heated with a heat gun to crinkle it up some. I know girls like bling, so a row bling was added to the outer edge. For some reason I thought a key was appropriate, like she can lock up all her wishes.
In this photo you can see the shimmer of the Smooch sprintz I sprayed on the paper before I decoupage it to the lid.
I added a lace that I thought was beautiful and hung below the edge of the lid. The lace I bought many years ago, I'm thinking like 12-13 years, just waiting for the right time to be used. I used paisley paper for the bottom and added gems to the center of the flowers for more bling.
It's be a long while since I've used my paints and I got to paint the inside of this box. The inside needed to be done too. Bright pink for the inside with a trim of ribbon on the top.
For the inside of the lid, I stamped a little sentiment and added some stars that I stickled. Everything had to be finished. I'm hoping it's perfect!
Here's the before pic of the box...what a difference!!
