LTCCB #87: Hello New Neighbor

Hello Crafty Friends!  July is here like a lion breathing hot fire on us .... It is HOT!  Hopefully you are staying cool by crafting a little.

This is my post for LTCCB, Anything Crafty Goes.

Remember the days when you had to score out your paper just right to create these foldable box cards?  MFT has made it so simple now with using die-cuts. Best way to use up some scrap papers too. The houses are from another die-cut company.

I made this card for our new neighbors.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

Love to Scrap Challenge Blog #167: Happy Birthday Handyman

Hello Crafty Friends !!  Hard to believe how fast this year is flying by.  I do love the Spring and all the flowers and bees pollinating.

This post is for LTSCB, Anything Goes.  Make sure to check out all sister blogs for more inspiration and challenges to enter.

I made this card for a special birthday using an image from Polkadoodles Work and Play 1 bundle, Handyman Dave.  The image is colored with my prismacolor pencils.  Some paper, die cuts and a stamp later ...it's complete.

Here's the inside.

Sometimes you have all these cool die-cuts and just want to use them.  That's what happened to me, I cut them out and thought about using them on the front of the card, but it was too busy. So inside they went and maybe one on the envelope.

This post is for MIUCB, Optioal Smooshing/Anything Goes

Sometimes I design things for other projects and decide I don't like them... on that project, so they get put to the side until I can figure out what to do with them.  After distressing a couple of cards, I didn't like them on another project, put made them front and center for this tag.  Stencil, scrap pieces of paper, paint, inks, and objects filled this tag .

A little sentiment for the back.

My Favorite Things has made making box cards very easy, everything is ran through the die-cutting machine, just put together.

The adorable image is from Lee Holland Art called Cute Lion and colored with my Prismacolor pencils.

I did sponge the edges of the grass to give it some depth, thought a few small flowers were needed.

The Rounded Banner die-cut was used for the back to stamp a sentiment. This Sentiment from Unity is perfect.

Who doesn't love Fall; the smells, the colors, and the crisp air.  I found this cute Fall bendy card svg design at Lori Whitlocks: Flexi Card Fall Scene.  Picking out the papers can be fun, because you can make it look different based on the colors you pick out.

I cut out some extra leaves to put inside and around.  The Happy Fall is a stamp from Stampin'Up.

Here is a birthday card for any male species living in your home.  The image Birthday Bot was colored with my Prismacolor pencils. Not happy with the lighting, but it was getting dark.

I used metal gears and wire to give it a robot feel.  The fan-tage even has a metal look.

Love to Craft! Challenge Blog #35: Medical Graduation

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here with my 2nd post of the day this one for Love to Craft! Challenge Blog, as always and every month "Anything Goes".

I was asked by a friend to created a graduation card for his wife.  She earned her degree as X-Ray Technician and he wanted it to be special.  Graduation paper and this wonderful die-cut/stamp set from MFT was just perfect.  I went with a tri-fold card to fit all the ideas we had between the two of us.

A picture of a x-ray was on his wish list and inserted on the inside of the 1st flap.  I made sure each flap had something special on it.  Hidden behind the 1st flap is a stamp sentiment.

Here it is completely opened. There is glitter stickles in each circle of the Bright stamp.  The image is from Mi Ran called Graduating Kim and colored with my Prismacolor pencils.

Here's the envelope with the card.

Dr Digi: I Was Wrong

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here today with my post for Dr Digi.

I'm sure you have watched America's Got Talent, so when I saw this image Got Talent? from Dr Digi, I knew I had to do something clever with it.  It could be for a promotion or if a person did a good job on something, but I went with a sorry card.  Some times we don't say it enough, when we are in the wrong.  The image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils, the background sponged.

Here's the inside.

Dr Digi: Beach Birthday

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here with my Dr Digi post today.  I decided to only post every other week during the summer, with running the kids to camps and whatever else might come up.  Not that I'm not already insane, but just trying to keep up with DT work during the summer can be insane...lol.

I made this cute birthday card using SeaSide Sidney from Dr Digi.  The image is colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  The background is brushed ink.  The banners are from Polkadoodles and I thought were a great match with this image.  When my older boys were in Cubscouts, I was a certified leader, so I used my skills in tying up some sea knots on the charm (I know it's hard to see from this angle).

Here's the inside.

Love To Craft! Challenge Blog #23: Fetching the Garter

Hello crafty friends!  They say June is the most popular month to get married, well, now as of 2017 they are saying it is one of 3 of the most popular months.  This is my post for Love to Craft! Challenge Blog, where it's also "Anything Goes".

I have 4 posts today, make sure you checked them out.

I was asked by my dad to create a wedding card for a spunky gal.  It just happens, I went to school with this gal and her newly husband.  My dad and this young lady, did volunteer work at the same place, that's how they knew each other.  They are always joking around with each other, so he wanted a funny card for her big spunky personality.  He picked out this image from Redonkoodles called Fetching the Garter (it's a tradition here in the states and can be quite humorous, like the groom pulling out different objects from under the bride's dress. Like everything. but the kitchen sink)  I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils.

My dad was always teasing the groom, that he needed to run...and fast.  This sentiment for the inside seemed to fit perfectly.

On the back of the card, I decided to add a quote.  Marriage is not perfect, nor are you or the person that stands by your side.  It's just accepting each other in their imperfections.

Here's the card with the envelope.  Yup, I stamped another quote.

I created a card using Beach Bum Bob.  Looks like Bob took vacation and decided not to come back to life of reality.  The image is colored with my Prismacolor pencils, with a sponged sky background.  I did use a little of Dr Digi's New Wave backing paper, that I had left over from another project.

I created this fun Valentine card using Emogeez Luv.  The only thing I had to color were the words "Luv U"; with my Prismacolor pencils of course.  The tickets are from MFT stamp set.  Just print out the emogeez you want, cut it out and create something fun...that easy.

Using Chico the Chihuahua, Box of Chocs and Gift Bag "Pink Bows", I created this cute little treat bag.  Both images are colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  The sentiment is from MFT.  The gift bag from Dr Digi is very easy to print, cut and little tape or glue for the side to make.

Mix It Up Challenge Blog #9: Let's Hang Out

Hello crafty friends!  Happy New Year!  I hope each one of you are blessed and have a healthy new year in 2018.

Since it's a new month, I have 3 wonderful posts for you today...enjoy.

This month at Mix It Up Challenge Blog, it's all about masking.  In this photo, I stamped the image that I wanted in front of the scenery that I was creating on mask paper.  Then carefully cut it out.

I stamped the image on the cardstock I was using for my card, then put the mask paper over that image.  Then stamped happily over the mask image.

After I was done stamping everything I needed behind the image, I pulled the mask paper off.  The tire swing and the grass were the main images I didn't want on the little girl.

The images are colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  It was nice to finally use this stamp set I bought years ago at My Favorite Things (MFT).  My goal this year is to use more my of my stamps in my collection, because many are unused.

Here's the inside.
