Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog - #41 Bling It On!

Goodness sake, where is this year going.  It's hard to believe it November already and the Holiday Season is upon us.  UGH!  It's Monday, it's cool outside and time for another challenge at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog.  For the next 2 weeks we want to see some BLING!

We have 2 wonderful sponsors for this challenge.

Scribbles Designs winner will receive 3 images of choice.

The Paper Nest Dolls winner will receive a $25 gift certificate good for digital and rubber stamps.

For this challenge I got to use the image Bubble Bath Ellie.  Very cute image and easy to add some bling, with all those bubbles.  I know my boys have had the bathtub overflowing with bubbles on more than one occasion.  For the bubbles I used 3 different Stickles and Liquid Pearl.  I colored the rest of the image with water color and regular color pencils.

Here's a little more bling.  I thought it look like the bubbles in a way.

Closer shot of the image.  I even used 3-d glossy accent on the water by the soap.  The image layer and the layer under the image, are both popped up.

Here's the complete inside of the card.  I put the sentiment on the side and added a blank side panel to write a little note.

thank for looking and reading :o)

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

stamps used: The Paper Nest Dolls Bubble Bath Ellie (digital), Toread Comge (front sentiment, rubber), Unity Stamp Co Fix All Your Problems (inside sentiment, rubber)
paper used: Bazill, Sassafras wall of fame, SU black, MFT smooth white
die-cuts used: Spellbinders Marvelous Squares & Romantic Rectangles

Love To Scrap! Challenge Blog #21 - Anything Goes

Happy New Year!!  So glad in starting a new year.  At Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog we are having our first challenge for the new year....it's a favorite....Anything Goes.  Remember, you still have to have a stamped and/or digital image or sentiment on your project.  This year we will pretty much have TWO sponsors per challenge.  That means two winners per challenge.  How awesome is that!!!

We are being sponsored by Technique Junkies and The Paper Nest Dolls for this challenge.

Technique Junkies winner will receive a Specialty CD.

The Paper Nest Dolls winner will receive a $25 gift certificate for their online store (good for digital and rubber stamps).

I decided to decorate this burlap envelope I found at Hobby Lobby for this Anything Goes challenge.  Using the digi Winter Mail Ellie image from The Paper Nest Dolls collection, I thought it would be perfect for this envelope.  Die-cuts, lace, Stickles, paint, and couple hours later, this envelope turned out pretty cute (at least I think so).

Using MFT First Class Friend stamp and die-cut set to finish the envelope look of my project, by creating a stamp and postmark (they no longer sell the set together, looks like just the die-cut is still available).

Since Ellie had a heart on her envelope she was mailing, I decided to put a heart on mine too.

Here it is stuffed with some goodness.

Please join us at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog with your cute creation.

Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog Challenge #14 - Run for the Border

Welcome to a new challenge at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog.  For the next two weeks we are running a border challenge.  You must stamp, punch or fancy cut a border on your project.  Remember you must have a stamp or digi image or sentiment on your project.

This challenge is being sponsored by The Paper Nest Dolls.  The winner will recieve a $25 gift certificate to their online store.  They have adorable images, so take a look!

For this challenge, I made a card using Rainy Day Friends (this comes in rubber and digital).  It's always good to have a friend by your side when life sends thunderstorms your way.  I just wish I had one near by, because it's just a pouring some days.  This is image is perfect for best friends.

I colored the image using my handy dandy water colorpencils and finishing it up with regular colorpencils  I couldn't really decide what border to use for this project, but went with a Martha Stewart punch.  The sentiment came from a MFT stamp set called Friendship is Shelter (this might be discontinued), which I thought looked perfect on a cloud.

To make the puddle look like water, some glossy accent was used.  Even on the raindrops I used some glossy accent.  To make it girlie I added some rhinestones to the umbrella.

Here is the inside of the card.

Hope to see you entry the Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog Challenge!
