Scrapping4fun #77: Thank you

Hello crafty friends!  It's time for another challenge at Scrapping4fun.  For the next 2 weeks, we challenge you to create a project for Thanksgiving or Thank you.

Since I don't usually send out Thanksgiving cards, I decided to create a Thank you.  I decided to use this cutie from Polkadoodles, Just For You, thought it was perfect since she's holding a bouquet of flowers .  I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils.  (Just realized that there's card fuzz from distressing on the ribbon...ugh!!)

Here's the inside.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

Hope to see you in the challenge.

I would like to enter my card in the folllowing challenges:

stamps: Polkadoodles: Just For You, Stampin' UP: short & Sweet

Dr Digi - Leatherface

Hello crafty friends!!  I'm here today with my Dr Digi post.  I'm continuing my goodie bag posts.  This is the last one of the series of Hello Kitty Monos.  There are a few more monos that I didn't create with, so you really need to take a look through Dr Digi's shop .

Here's a pic with all the images colored.  Who knew Hello Kitty could be SO scary!?

Here's my last goodie bag.

I used Hello Leatherface Mono  and one of the Halloween Sentiments from Dr Digi for this bag.  The tree stamp is from Stampin' Up.  I used fabric transfer sheet for the sentiment, which I colored in Photoshop.  A simple ribbon for around the bag.

I would like to enter my bag in the following challenges:

stamps: Dr Digi: Hello Leatherface Mono & Halloween Sentiments, Stampin' Up: House of Haunts

Let's Craft and Create - Halloween and/or Fall

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here for a second time today...It's my Let's Craft and Create half-way post.  This month's challenge is about Halloween and/or Fall.  What a great and fun season!

For this challenge, I decided to use this adorable digital stamp from Tiddly Inks called Molly Witchy Poo.  (This image is a 2 image set right now, Halloweeny Molly.  The other image is Pumpkin Patch Molly.)  I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils and used some glitter and embossing fragments around the image.  The pumpkins come in a big stamp/die set from MFT (My Favorite Things) called Primitive Pumpkins.  I found some great background paper in my stash from Me & My Big Ideas.

Here's the inside.

Hope to see you in the challenge.

Dr Digi - Hannibal Lecter

Hello crafty friends!  It's a Dr Digi post again today.  I'm still sharing my goodie bags and after this delicious bag, there's still one more to share.  So far I've shared Hello Sadako and Hello Freddy, both of these are great movies for the Halloween season.

Who remembers Silence of the Lambs?  That movie was intense!!  So today I bring you Hello Hannibal Mono from Dr Digi.  The sentiment is also from Dr Digi's Halloween sentiment sheet.  I really wanted a liver and heart for this project, but do you know how hard it is to find such objects.  Even my son has a body book that was falling apart (the parts were small enough), the liver and heart were missing.  Looks like someone else got to them before me.....So I used some googly eyes and I took apart a skeleton.  Yes I know, the heart and liver would have been better :o(
The image is colored with my Prismacolor pencils.

Here's the back with another eye watching you :o)

I would like to enter my goodie bag in the following challenges:

Dr Digi - Nightmare on Elm St

Hello Crafty Friends!!!  We are almost half way through October, can you believe it !!??  I'm continuing on my Dr Digi goodie bags.  Every Wednesday for the month of October I will post another goodie bag using a different Dr Digi fun Halloween image.

This week I created a bag using Hello Freddy Mono.  I grow up on Elm St and have watched the Nightmare on Elm St movies, this image was a given to have.  I used some ribbon for Really Reasonable Ribbon, that I thought look like veins (one of those gruesome scenes from the movie).  Some fake blood made from white paint drying out (it was like rubber) and some alcohol inks.  The image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

stamp: Dr Digi: Hello Freddy Mono
paper: the Paper Studio: white

Dr Digi - Hello Sadako

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here today with my Dr Digi post.  Since Halloween and Fall Festivals are upon us, I thought it's time to start making some goodie bags.

I used Dr Digi's image Hello Sadako Mono.  Hello Kitty is looking very creepy here.  The character is based of the movie "The Ring".  I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils and kept it monochromatic.  Using a toilet paper cardboard to stamp some circles, because seeing the ring was very important to the movie.  Last, was ironing the sentiment on the bag using fabric transfer paper.  The sentiment is part of Dr Digi's Halloween sentiment sheet .

Here's the back, where I wrapped the ribbon around the bag and used a button over the seam.

House of Cards - Very Merry

Hello crafty friends!  October is here and that means Autumn is here (I love this season!!).  Also, means the busy season will begin.  Before you get too busy, hopefully you can join us at House of Cards for our new challenge this month.

Here is the  inspiration pic.  You can create a card making Gatefold and/or using the color palette.

Excuse the paperclip holding the card together, but gatefold cards just don't cooperate for pics.  I did a gatefold card, not really using the greens palette, but it is aqua.

The image is called Bernie from Unity.  I colored him up with my Prismacolor pencils.

Added a little lace, snowflakes and stamped a sentiment on the one fold.

Here's the inside.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Love to Craft! Challenge Blog - Halloween Costume

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here today with my post for Love to Craft! Challenge Blog.  A challenge blog that let's you be creative with more than paper crafts.

Being a mom of 4 boys I have made some costumes in my time.  They don't always want me to make them, because they might find a "cool" store bought one, that ALL the kids want.  I've made Dracula, wizard, robot, creepers, reaper, and somethings I'm unsure of, but this year, my baby wants to be a mummy.

I bought just a regular sweat suit in his size (so I thought).  Due to the bright lettering on the front, I turned the sweatshirt in side out.  This way it didn't show through the fabric I was using.

The fabric was cut into different sizes of lengths.  I also used 3 different fabrics.  Instead of sewing it together by hand or machine, I found this wonderful fabric bonding tape.  Just cut want I needed and IRONED the fabric on the suit.  How easy is that?!  Don't pull the fabric tight around the suit, just let it rest on top.

Here's the front of the top.  I let several pieces hang.  Around the face opening of the hoodie, I bonded some fabric in front.  Cut a few extra pieces to wrap more around the face and some to cover up the shoes.

the back

The front of the pants.  Just wrap gently around the pant legs.  I did the crotch area first, by bonding material upward, creating underpants like.

Back of pants.  Also leave some material trailing behind as they walk.

This is when I found out the suit was bigger than my little guy.  Even though it's the size he normally wears, this suit ran much bigger.  I will have to take the shirt up some.

If it's cold where you live, this costume will keep your kid warm, because it is heavy.  Happy October Friends!!

Hope to see you in the challenge!
