Dr Digi: Warning Old Git

Hello Crafty Friends!  Today is my Dr Digi post.  I created a birthday card for my dad.  His bday was yesterday and he is already back from his yearly golf trip.  Every year around his birthday, him and a group of buddies go down South to play golf for a week.  My brother has been going the last several years, but he says he mainly babysit the old man.  lol.

I used Hole In One Hal for my dad's card and the Grumpy Sentiments Sheet.  I couldn't find any golf paper, so I settled on grass and some stripes.  My dad is a die hard Cubs fan and has a Cub golfing bag.

I decided to do the 3D look, but didn't add as many layers as you can.  Tried to keep it simple.  I only colored the outer edges on the underneath image.  Some crafters color the underneath layer completely grey.  It's really up to you on what you like.  Some times the underneath layer can make a good practice image.

Here's the base image with the cut out layers.

A little side angle to see the 3D.

Here's the inside.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

stamps: Dr Digi: Hole In One Hal, Grumpy Sentiments Sheet
paper: Bazzill, the Paper Studio: Big Stripe-Blue&White, White, grass
die-cuts: Sizzix: celebrate, MFT: numbers and letters
