Hats Off Graduation: LTSCB #161

Hello crafty friends :o)   It's hard to believe Spring is already here, the last of the High School are happening.  All sisters blogs go live today, so check out all the inspiration.

This post is for Love to Scrap Challenge Blog, Anything Goes

My son is double graduating this month.  He will graduate from Jr College first with high honors.  Then two weeks later, he will graduate from High School as Valedictorian. As a senior class, they have a tradition called the blue envelope, where anyone can give seniors cards of congrats for their hard work and success for the future.  This is our blue envelope using Lori Whitlock SVG files.

I like lots of details, much added details to the tassels and scrolls.

Put a piece of dark blue, so we could write a message to the senior.

Thanks for looking and reading :o)

Parachuting Santa: MLCCB #50

Hello crafty friends :o)   Yes, it's Spring, but Christmas cards need to prepared way in advance to keep up with the demand.

This post is for Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog, anything Christmas goes.

Simple Christmas card using Dr Digi image, colored with my colored pencils. Just a fun image and something different as a Christmas image.

Botanical Art: MIUCB #65

Hello crafty friends :o)  Welcome to May Flowers time.

This post is for Mix It Up Challenge Blog #65; Anything Goes with the option of embossing.

I went to a Botanical Art workshop at the flower farm.  This was a fun class and I learned a lot about how to make natural dyes for art work.  The instructor uses the dyes not just for paper projects, but also clothing.

Here was the center table setting.

We used alive and dried flowers and leaves for this project.  Which was rolled up with cans and cooked.

This is the end result.  Just some beautiful paper to use in later projects. :o)
Now for the project for this challenge.

Here I played with fresh flower petals, by rubbing them on the paper to create color. Some of the natural dyes and by adding lemon juice, soda or other elements changing the colors.

This is what I created.  The sentiment is embossed.
What a great class, so much learning and I can't wait to experiment on my own.

We got to take home flowers from the farm, they are so beautiful.

Grads Party Favors: LTCCB #74

Hello crafty friends :o)   It's that time of year, Spring begins and the next you know, summer is full force with vacations.  All the sisters blogs go live today, so make sure you check out all the inspiration.

This post is for Love to Craft Challenge Blog, anything crafty is welcomed

No graduation is complete without some party favors.  Once again the SVG file is from Lori Whitlock

It's a good size box to put some goodies inside.

The tassel does not come with the svg file, but easily made with floss.  Of course a little brad on top.
