Here's my take on the sketch:

I inked the Its Your Birthday stamp for the first time.  This is a cute little stamp set from MFT.  I wanted this card to be bright and happy, so I used some bright colors.  Hope you have a good weekend.

Friday Flair with Unity - Love you Most

It's Friday and Friends with Flair at Unity. Show Unity some love of their stamps and you can win a grab bag of goodies.

My husband and I are always saying I Love you Most, I love you mostest, I love you mostestlyerestess (it's not a word, but our way of trying to top the other one).  Then it's I love you tops, I love you infinite.  You get the picture, I hope you're not throwing up with all that lovely dovey stuff.  This itty bitty from Unity was perfect for us and I had to make this card for my hubby.

Very simple card.  As you can tell lots of sponging for the background.  Of course I used my watercolor pencils and regular color pencils to color in the tree.  It's nice to make someone's day with a simple little card.

Tuesday Teapotters - Paris and Roses

This week the Teapotters are traveling to TX to bring some joy to Denise.  Denise had a hip replacement 10 years ago and it got infected.  Doctors tried to replace it, but with no luck and they had to amputate her leg at the hip.  Part of the challenge is going to Paris to collect rose petals to make rose jelly.  Denise like roses, tulips and cats.  Here's the teapot:

Here's my card:

As you can see I went with the Eiffel Tower for Paris and some Rose Jelly filled with love.  Very simple card, but got the challenge done.  My roses are the background paper.  I didn't have pink or red roses, but the blue was pretty so I went with it.

Friends with Flair - Valentines

My sixteen year old son asked me to make some postcards for his gal pals for valentine.  Not cards, because he didn't want to write inside them.  I basically made card fronts for him.  Unity has some really cute stamps for love and friendship.  Since it's Friday I have to post Friends with Flair at Unity.  You can win a grab bag and someone will win just for posting a comment on other friends cards.  I always look forward to Fridays!

For this card I used 4 Unity stamps.  The most obvious stamp is Unity You Deserve Happy (my son thought it should read "you deserve to be happy").  This stamp is a Stamp of the Week stamp.  The other images used are Unity 4 Art by Art Graffiti Art (stamped in gray) and two unknowns from a couple of grab bags I have won (the flourish and the fancy heart stamped in the medium red heart).

I used a pocket die-cut so the it look like she had a pocket full of hearts.  A little bling and a woven scroll ribbon was added to make it girlie.  Plus a couple of mini heart brads to look like pocket studs.

Here's the second front.  This image is from Stampin' Up Sealed With A Kiss.  The xoxo is also part of the stamp set.

This is the last card where I used MFT My Favorite Sentiments for the image.

fyi:
There is a brand new blog looking for some talented design team members.  I think there are some talented people in the Friends with Flair circle.

Tuesday Teapotters - Angus Cow Love

Another great Tuesday Teapotters!!  This week we are going to AL to visit Sara. Diagnosed with breast cancer 5 years ago, she had a mastectomy, chemo and radiation treatments.  Being watched carefully, they recently found tumor in her mastectomy spot and it has spread to all the bones in her upper body. Sending her cow happiness, because she loves Angus Cows!
Here's the inspiration teapot:

Here's my cow card.

The cow image is a digital image from Digital Delights - Charlie the Cow, isn't he cute.  I used tangy orange colors for my card.  Charlie was colored with my handy dandy color pencils.

MFT Challenge Sketch #110 - Naughty

Made it for another MFT Weekly Challenge Sketch! As I was making this card, I was thinking of a few of my friends that I know have a dirty little mind.  This card is a little naughty.  Here's the sketch for the week:

Here's my take on the sketch.

I've had this stamp for awhile, thought it would be cute for Valentine or an anniversary, so I finally inked it up.  The image is MFT Who's That Girl line, Maid For You (looks like this image is retired).  I inked it and embossed the image.  I love the designer paper for this project, thought it made it look classy.  I water colored and regular color penciled my image.  Add some Stickles to the bottom of her outfit.  I did use a copic marker over the top of the pencil for the wall.

The metal piece holding the ribbon was from Stampin' Up hodge podge pieces.  I didn't like the brassy color it was, so I sponged Staz On Jet Black ink on the metal piece.
WARNING:  I'm posting the inside of this card and the person giving this card choose the sentiments she wanted.  IT IS NAUGHTY!!

The first sentiment came with the image, but the last one and the "naughty" on the front of the card came from MFT Twisted Sentiments set.  This card turned out to be one of my favorites.  I think I like the paper combination.

challenges i'll enter in:

Friends with Flair - Birthday

I didn't think I was going to make a post today with everything going on.  After dinner I hurried and made a quick card just so I could enter Unity's Friends with Flair.  I hate missing FWF and I love looking at everyone's projects with Unity.

Forgive me, I had to take a night shot.

The sketch is from Seize the Birthday and this week they want a feminine card.  I will enter this card in their challenge as well.

Very simple design tonight. I used Unity Birthday Chic stamp set for my images and sentiment.  Quickly water colored some color to the images.

Tuesday Teapotters - Ladybugs

It's Tuesday Teapotters and this week we are going to WI.  An older lady name Marian has broken her legs for the second time in two years.  She's still in a wheelchair from the first fall.  We are sending her love this week.  Here's the inspiration teapot:

She likes ladybugs, Daffodils and Apples.  Here's my card:

Ms Marian loves to play Scrabble and we get extra cookies for putting Scrabble game pieces on the card.  I had to make my pieces.  I used some plywood from SU and MFT Square Stax die-cut to make the Scrabble pieces.  All the stamps used were Stampin' Up stamps.  All the images were colored with color pencils.

MFT Challenge Sketch #109

It's been awhile since I've gotten sketchy with My Favorite Things, so I thought it's time to get back in the groove of a good sketch challenge.  Here's the sketch:

Here's my take on their sketch:

I know it's not exactly like the sketch, but it's what I came up with.  I've had this set for awhile and haven't had the chance to use it, but here it is.  This is the MFT First Class Friend stamp and die-cut set.  This card is about sending lots of hugs and love.

Using pop-ups to the seals, I made sure the twine was stuck between the paper and the pop-ups.

A perfect love quote for the inside.

paper used:  SU Razzleberry, The C-Three Ruler Co-Sweet Romance, Recollections Printed Tissue and some scraps

Friends with Flair - I'll give you my heart

YAY for Friday!!  Unity has Friends with Flair where they want to see their customers work of art!  I'm already pretty happy about this week, because I was featured on Unity blog by Ms Shemaine on Tuesday.  Thank you again, I almost didn't post that card on Splitcoasters.

This week I'm posting a valentine, I know, there's no surprise there.

I finally inked up this cutie by Phyllis Harris, i will give you my heart.  I did the traditional colors of red and pink.  The polka dot paper is from MME traveler 6x6 pad.  I colored her in with watercolor pencils and regular color pencils.  Added a little twine and jute with a wooden button.
