Unity Winner

I had so many sweet comments during my week as the GIU guest week, that it made it hard to pick a winner.  I had 2 winners, one will get 2 Itty Bitty stamps from Unity and one 2 stamps and die-cut from me (stamps that I order extra to give away).  The winner was Julie Odil!!  Julie took the 2 stamps and die-cut.  Kris B was another winner.  Kris please contact me with your choices of 2 Itty Bitty stamps from Unity.  Congratulations Gals!!!  Thank you once again everyone for the sweet comments!

Day 5 Growing In Unity - A Kiss To Make It Better

It's hard to believe it's Friday and the last day with Growing In Unity guest spot. It was a great experience!!  I thought I would have time to get more projects done for the week, maybe have 2 or 3 projects a day. Lol, that didn't happen!!  I did get to ink up some stamps sets that have been sitting for awhile.  It always feels great to use what you buy or was given. Also with it being Friday that means Friends with Flair at Unity.  So, create a project using Unity and link up.

I would also like to thank all of you for visiting my blog this week and leaving sweet comments.  I don't know how to pick a winner.  It would be easier to give everyone an itty bitty stamp.  Lots of THANKS to you!!

Today I have another card.  I couldn't wait to use this stamp set, just had to wait for the right time.  It's another Phyllis Harris set, which her stamp sets are always SO cute.

Who wouldn't want a kiss to make everything better?  I think a kiss can make everything better.  This image is from the Unity Phyllis Harris stamp set First Love.

I colored the image with water colorpencils and regular colorpencils.  If you haven't noticed, colorpencils are my favorite coloring tools of choice.  I do have some copics, but for some reason I stick to the colorpencils.

I always decorate the inside of my cards.  Just because I feel like they are unfinished if I don't.  I need to make sure I take pics of them to show everyone.  I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!  Once again, thank you for visiting.

Here is the stamp set I used for this card:

Day 4 Growing in Unity - Gift Tag

Day 4 with Growing In Unity and it's almost FRIDAY!!!  Today is an easy and simple gift tag.  I really tried to do other things besides cards this week. To give ya'll a little variety...haha.  Since I have 4 boys, I thought a stinker tag would be perfect.

The tag was free with my Unity order.  I just covered it with some boyish DP on the front.  Using the stamp set AH Crap for the image and the sentiment.  The plunger is the only thing that I had to color with my colorpencils.  Added some ribbon and natural twine.  It was simple and easy, but any boy or guy would think it's perfect.

Here's the stamp set I used for this gift tag.

Day 3 Growing in Unity - With Sympathy

It's hard to believe we are halfway through the week.  It's Wednesday and day 3 of Growing In Unity.  For today's Unity project I wanted to try something new, tri-fold card or tri-shutter card.  Lots of fun, but lots of work.

Here's the front.

For the front I used Unity Tulips & Daisies stamp set for the image and Heartfelt Sympathy for the sentiment.  The image was colored with my trusty water colorpencils and colorpencils.  I wanted a rich  royal color paper, but needed to make sure all the dp papers were soft and not overpowering to the design. I hope I succeeded in what I was trying to create

When these tri-fold cards are unfolded, there is some much depth to them.  I really like the way they look.

For the center panel I used Unity All About HOPE stamp for the sentiment.

For the last panel, I broke the rules a little and didn't use a Unity stamp for this one, it's from Stampin Up Thoughts & Prayers stamp set.

It was fun trying something new and different.  I really like the way the card turned out.

Here's the Unity stamp sets I used to make this card:

Day 2 Growing in Unity - Bear Hugs

Welcome to Day two of Growing In Unity.  Today is a very simple card.  Who doesn't need a "bear hug" from time to time or just a plain ole' hug.  I'm just getting back from a family reunion trip (yup 12 hours in a car now, sitting in front of a computer) and there was lots of hugging going on.  It's always great to see friends and family when you can.

This cute image is from Unity stamp set Time for Bear (hugs).

I couldn't help making a circle theme to go with the polka dot dp paper.   I colored the image water colorpencils and regular colorpencils.  Just thought this image was too cute to pass up.

Day 1 with Growing In Unity - Bookmark

This is my second post for today....Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog was posted before this post.

Hello Unity followers!!  I'm the Growing In Unity Guest Designer for the week and I'm very excited about this!!!!  I love Unity Stamps!  I will be posting a new project everyday this week using Unity.  At the end of the week, I will get to choose one person who has left comments as the winner of two Itty Bitty stamps. So let the fun begin!

To start off the week, I decided to make a bookmark for my 8 year old son.  He loves to read and somehow manages to have more than one book at a time.  I wanted it to have bold colors, because he is ALL boy.  He also has a monster themed room, so a monster bookmark was in order.

Such a cute little guy.  I used Unity Cuter Than Most stamp set.  The sentiment also from the stamp set.  I colored this cute little guy with color pencils and fussy cut him out.  Knowing how rough boys are with their stuff, I cut out the die-cuts twice and glued the two backs together.  Extra sturdy, we hope.

Here's the back.  Of course I will have to put some mushy lovin comment on the back before I give it to him.

Here's the stamp set I used for the project.

Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win 2 Itty Bitty stamps from Unity!!!

Tuesday Teapotters - Bestie

This week the teapotters are going to Canada to send some hugs to a fellow teapotter's sister.  She survived stage 4 cancer 17 years ago, but because of the trail drug they use during treatment, she has had some health issues.  We are bringing sister cards her way.

Here's the inspiration teapot:

I don't have a biological sister, but the girl I grew up with across the street, is the closest thing I have to a sister.  We have been best of friends for over 30 years, she is my sister to me. We have shared many memories together.
Here's my card for this week's challenge.

The cute image is from Unity Stamp.  Even the ribbon background is from Unity KOM.  I believe extra cookies are given to the teapotter who could bring sisters and breast cancer pink ribbon.  Very simple card.  I colored it with my trusty color pencils. Added a ribbon and some brads.

I'm hoping to bring smiles to Debby :o)

Love to Scrap Challenge Blog #11 - Monochrome

It's August, my favorite month of the summer!!  We have a new challenge at Love to Scrap Challenge Blog, it's an easy one too.  You must make a project using black and white, a touch of one color can be used.

This challenge is being sponsored by My Crafty Heart.  The winner will receive a £10 voucher (approximately $16) to My Crafty Heart store.  They have some great products in their store, so take a look!

For this challenge I used an image that I thought would look great not colored.  Something about sitting on a porch that is relaxing and calming.  This card was made for my brother's gf who just had surgery.  She could image herself sitting out there sipping on some coffee, getting away from my brother (lol).

The image is from MFT called Front Porch-Spring. The designer paper looked more white until I saw the pics for my blog. Oh well!  That dp was from Printery Collections.  A sentiment and ribbon was added to finish the card. A very simple card to make, since there was no coloring involved.

Here's the inside.
