Scrapping4Fun - #31 Anything Goes

Happy Thanksgiving!!  I hope everyone has had a fabulous day with family :o)

Because the holiday season is in full swing, we have an Anything Goes challenge at Scrapping4Fun.  So, upload your crafty projects.

I had this image Tender Thoughts from A Day of Daisies that I painted with Gelatos.  I don't know if I'm totally happy with the results, but it was a learning process.  Trying new things is fun and I will probably try this technique again.  I couldn't decide on how to use this image after I painted it, but it became a card.  I had the butterfly fabric sitting around for awhile, actually most of the stuff I used is several years old.

I fell in love with the butterfly bling years ago and it seemed fitting for this card.  Some flowers with pearls were added.  I just hate using things when I only have one of them, just want to make sure I use them for the perfect project.  I'm sure many of you are the same way.

Here's the inside.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

The Male Room - Ribbon, Make It Masculine

Happy almost Turkey Day!!!  My family is here and I have a full house.  That also means lots of cooking and eating and telling old stories.  Love family time.

It's time for another challenge at The Male Room.  For the next 2 weeks, we want see if you can make ribbon look masculine.

I used an image from Stampin'Up that I got years ago and thought it was SO cute.  It's called For Father.  This card is very simple;  Kraft paper for the base, 15¢ discount paper for the main design paper and a little pop of color with the blue.  The ribbon was strung through some metal hardware.  I did make a mistake, when the kids get wild it happens.  I forgot to lay the ribbon under the corner piece, so I had to cut the ribbon to meet up with the corner and it worked out better (no lump under the paper now).

Here's the inside.

Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog - #42 Say It In Color!!

Happy Monday crafty bloggers!!  I hope you are ready for another challenge at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog.  For the next 2 weeks we want see sentiments that are not in black, but put them in color.  I know it can be a challenge for some, but give it a try.

We have 2 fabulous sponsors for this challenge.

The winner for Stitchy Bears Digi Outlet will win a $10 gift certificate.

The winner for Sweet Stamps will win a $10 gift certificate as well.

The image In Her Easter Bonnet Silhouette 6005 was stamped for my use for this challenge.  I went ahead and colored the little bit of white there was on this image with water color and regular color pencils.  I thought pearls would help dress up her hat too.  I didn't want to overdo the image.  Since it was a victorian/vintage style image, I put some beautiful metal corner pieces in the corner.  Some fancy ribbon was needed as well.

I had a couple of womanly quotes and settled on this one from Unity Stamps called A Woman of Strength.  It took a couple of different inks to decided which looked okay with the paper I already choosen.  Looking kinda plain, I added a satin ribbon behind the sentiment (it's really not brown, but golden).

Here's the inside.

Scrapping4Fun - #30 Bling

Hello fellow crafters!  The Holiday season is fastly approaching here in the States.  Thanksgiving to fatten us up and then Christmas to fatten us up even more.  My family will start coming in next week, so it's going to get busy with me cooking for everyone.
There is always time for a fabulous challenge.  For the next 2 weeks at Scrapping4Fun Challenges, we want to see some "BLING".

I went with a bling tree, due to the inspiration picture.

This tree has alot of bling and is the inspiration picture.

The image is from Stampin' Up from the stamp set called Snow Swirled.  I just think this image is beautiful and I have used it in the past.  As you can see, I added lots of fancy die-cuts to compliment the tree.

Besides the bling on the tree, there is also some around the sentiment and a brad wrapped around the ribbon.  I thought about added more, but I was worried about it being too much.  I also didn't want traditional Christmas colors, just wanted something different.

Here's the inside.  I decided to make a few more to give as my Christmas cards and thought about adding the ribbon in the inside of the card.  (Without the brad and crunched up part, just leave it flat.)  I'll have to see what it looks like and of course a Christmas sentiment will be added.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

The Male Room - Time

Hello fellow bloggers!  It's time for another challenge at The Male Room.  For the next 2 weeks, we want to see your manly creations on the theme - Time.

I couldn't decide which stamp to use for this challenge.  But somehow settled on this wine stamp from Unity Stamp Co, called It's Wine O'clock.  I've had these stamps sitting around for a bit and they needed to be inked.  I used some cork ribbon on the side, because a wine card needed some cork on it somewhere.

I did use clear embossing powder on the clock.

Here's the inside.  I was going to use this image for the front of the card, but I thought it seemed too busy. So, it ended inside with a sentiment.  This stamp set is also from Unity called Lets Uncork.

Have a great rest of the week and I hope to see you in the challenge!

Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog - #41 Bling It On!

Goodness sake, where is this year going.  It's hard to believe it November already and the Holiday Season is upon us.  UGH!  It's Monday, it's cool outside and time for another challenge at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog.  For the next 2 weeks we want to see some BLING!

We have 2 wonderful sponsors for this challenge.

Scribbles Designs winner will receive 3 images of choice.

The Paper Nest Dolls winner will receive a $25 gift certificate good for digital and rubber stamps.

For this challenge I got to use the image Bubble Bath Ellie.  Very cute image and easy to add some bling, with all those bubbles.  I know my boys have had the bathtub overflowing with bubbles on more than one occasion.  For the bubbles I used 3 different Stickles and Liquid Pearl.  I colored the rest of the image with water color and regular color pencils.

Here's a little more bling.  I thought it look like the bubbles in a way.

Closer shot of the image.  I even used 3-d glossy accent on the water by the soap.  The image layer and the layer under the image, are both popped up.

Here's the complete inside of the card.  I put the sentiment on the side and added a blank side panel to write a little note.

thank for looking and reading :o)
