Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog #68 AG

Hello fellow crafters!  This is Christmas week!!!  Hopefully everyone is ready to celebrate and be with family.

This will be our last challenge of the year for Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog....It's Anything Goes.  Remember we wan to see some stamping on your project, with rubber/clear and/or digital.

Winner will receive $10 gift certificate

Winner will receive 3 images

Winner will receive $12 gift certificate

For this challenge I made 2 cards, so it's a little long.  First is the sponsor image from Angie's Cards & Digis.

I'm using the sponsor image Butterfly on a Toadstool.  I like to color nature scenes.  The image is colored with my color pencils and I sponged the green background (which the pic doesn't show it's true beauty).  I decided to add a little more pop of red with the paper.

Here's the inside.

I would like to enter this butterfly card in the following challenges:
stamps used: Angie Digi Stamps-Butterfly on Toadstool, SU-short&sweet (sentiment)
paper used: SU old olive & dp, the Paper Studio kraft & white, MFT wild cherry
embellishments: the Paper Studio burlap mini daisies, Making Memories antique copper brads

My second project of this challenge:

For my second card I used a image from my stash, but it's still A Day for Daisies image, which is one of our sponsors.  The image is called Hope, but I could no longer find it on their website.  It's a beautiful image too.  This is colored with my color pencils.

Some pearls on one side, lace on the other.  The designer paper is from Michele R Designs.

Here's the inside.  The sentiment is from Unity called Remember YOU Baby Jesus

Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog #61 Do A Double Take

Hello fellow crafters!  Once again, thank you for all the sweet comments on past posts :o)

I hope you are ready for another challenge at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog.  For the next 2 weeks we want to see projects using at least 2 different patterned papers.  Remember, there must be some stamping either rubber/clear and/or digital.

For this challenge we have 3 wonderful sponsors and that means 3 wonderful winners will be chosen.

The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate.

The winner will receive a $12 gift certificate (equal to 3 images).

2 images of choice, 3 images if the winner uses a TSB image.

Thank you sponsors :o)

I got to work with this adorable image from A Day of Daisies called Playing in the Pumpkin Patch.  The image was colored with my color pencils.  As you can see, I used 2 different designer papers behind the image.  One is Autumn Shades by The Paper Shelter and the other is Cottage Garden by Michele R Designs.  Some buttons and ribbon were added, but I didn't want to take away from the image, so I kept it pretty simple.

Here's a close up of the image.  I wanted a soft feel to this card, so I used soft colors.

Here's the inside.  I put a little sentiment inside that seemed appropriate.

thanks for looking and reading :o)  Please look on the challenge blog to check out other DT projects for inspiration.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Scrapping 4 Fun #35 Vintage

Hello again!  I loved seeing all the projects in the LOVE challenge, there are some very talented crafters out in blogland.  Are you ready for another challenge at Scrapping4fun?  For the next 2 weeks, we want to see vintage projects.

I will admit, I struggle with vintage.  It's very close to shabby chic and I love both, but creating them is a challenge for me.

Here's what I came up with.

I colored the image Vintage Slip from A Day for Daisies.  At one time this was a free image, but it's no longer available :o(.  The image was colored with water color and regular color pencils.  Some distress ink was sponged around the outer edge of the die-cut.  I added some satin ribbon on the corners.

I found this metal birdcage in my stash, thought it was perfect with the birds in the image.   Pearls and roses seem like a vintage thing and I found this perfect flourish in my stash too.  Thank goodness for hoarding "a few things".  I tried to stick to very mute colors in my papers.  I hope my take on vintage inspires you.

Here's the simple inside.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

paper used: Tim Holtz - Crowded Attic, Bazzill, discounted paper, the Paper Studio - white

Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog #43 Shape Shift!

It's November and the Christmas countdown has begun!  Where has the year gone?  I know...too fast.

It's time for another challenge at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog.  For the next 2 weeks we want to challenge you, not to make a square or rectangle card.  There are SO many fancy die-cuts out there and other fancy tools, I'm sure you can come up with something gorgeous.

We have 2 fabulous sponsors for this challenge.

Lacy Sunshine will give the winner 3 images of choices.

A Day for Daisies will give the winner a $12 gift certificate

I created a card with the image from A Day for Daisies called To Grammy's House.  I was going to make a sled shape card, but I thought it would be too much.  This is what I ended up with .  I colored the image with my water color and regular color pencils.  Made sure there were some die-cuts and a little bling, since it's Christmas time.  The metal hardware, holding the ribbon, I painted white to go with the card.

To make the snow, I used some paint and thick glitter.  Stickles were used in the falling snow.

Here's the inside.  The sentiment is from Amy R Stamps called Frosty Sentiments.

Scrapping4Fun - #31 Anything Goes

Happy Thanksgiving!!  I hope everyone has had a fabulous day with family :o)

Because the holiday season is in full swing, we have an Anything Goes challenge at Scrapping4Fun.  So, upload your crafty projects.

I had this image Tender Thoughts from A Day of Daisies that I painted with Gelatos.  I don't know if I'm totally happy with the results, but it was a learning process.  Trying new things is fun and I will probably try this technique again.  I couldn't decide on how to use this image after I painted it, but it became a card.  I had the butterfly fabric sitting around for awhile, actually most of the stuff I used is several years old.

I fell in love with the butterfly bling years ago and it seemed fitting for this card.  Some flowers with pearls were added.  I just hate using things when I only have one of them, just want to make sure I use them for the perfect project.  I'm sure many of you are the same way.

Here's the inside.

Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog #33 - Anything Goes

Good morning Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog followers!  The year is already half over, it's sad and hard to believe!  Where do the days go?
We do have a favorite challenge going on at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog....Anything Goes! Remember, we like to see stamped rubber/digi images or sentiments on your projects.

Once again we have 2 sponsors, so that means 2 winners for this challenge.

The winner for A Day for Daisies will receive a $12 gift certificate (equal to 3 images).

The winner for Eureka Stamps will receive 5 images of choice.
What awesome sponsors we have! :o)

I got to work with the image Tender Thoughts by A Day of Daisies.  This is such a sweet image!  I colored it with water color and regular color pencils.  I made one of the butterflies a light purple-blue color, they are my favorite.  They are tiny and plain, but they are my favorite to see in the summer.  I used a butterfly brad to wrap around the thick ribbon.  Some yellow flowers and rhinestones were added for a little more embellishment.

Here's the inside.  I think I might add a scripture or a prayer inside this card...seems fitting.
