Dr Digi - Happy Birthday Loud and Clear

Hello Dr Digi Friends!  I'm here today with my Dr Digi post.  We are still celebrating Dr Digi's birthday month over on facebook.

The winner will receive 4 images,  "I Love Tea" badge, and exclusive Dr Digi mug (like the one pictured above).

I created a card using Dr Digi's Mr Speaker, this way you can hear him loud and clear.  It's a birthday celebration!!!  The image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  I used the new funky backing paper from Dr Digi called Olives.  Truth be told...I can eat some olives...straight out of the jar.  I'm not picky about the type of olive either.  Since the birthday challenge is that some tea element must be in your creation.  I was sneaky by adding the Tea & Bickies backing paper too.

Here's the inside.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

stamp:  Dr Digi: Mr Speaker
paper:  Coordinations: elephant, Bazzill, Dr Digi: Olives & Tea & Bickies

Scrapping4Fun - #68 Quotes/Sentiments

Hello crafty friends!  It's starting to get busy around this house.  Boys going here and there, plus trying to spend time with family that lives SO far away.  The older boys have their birthdays this month and they are only a week apart.  In fact, one was last Friday and one this Friday...busy, busy.

Even when it's busy, there's still time to craft up something.  We have a new challenge at Scrapping4fun and hopefully you can join us.  For the next 2 weeks, we want to see creations that have quotes/sentiments as the main focus.

Are wonderful sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo.

I was given this beautiful image and quote to work with.  It's called Friend Flower Doodles.  I could have left the doodles alone, but I like to color.  A friend could use a little cheering up with some bright colors to go with the sentiment.  I kept this design very simple, since the quote is the main focus.

Here's the inside.

Friends and Secrets

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here's today showing off Christopher Kerry's new mermaid package.  They are ALL beautiful images, but this one is just too cute.  It's called "The Secret".  Even mermaids have secrets that they need to tell their best fishy friends.  Christopher's images are just beautifully detailed and drawn.  This image is a free image: The Secret....so grab this cutie.

The image is colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  I had different color schemes in my head, but the hot pink really just needed to be done.  I saw a black cherry car and decided my tail needed something to that effect.  As you can see, the images are beautifully detailed.  I loved coloring this.

This smaller image was colored for a card.  I added a touch of pink with the ribbon, but kept it sea worthy in the colors.

Found the perfect sentiment from Unity for the inside of the card.

I colored the image a 2nd time, but bigger.  It's slightly different, because it's easier to add details and more color in bigger areas and sometimes you see things and want to make it different. (I did lighter details on the tail on this one, but the light pink didn't show up too well).

Check out Christopher's online coloring classes: Color Academy Ink.  He will release the mermaid images from class later on, if you just want the images and/or an image.  Christopher is an amazing teacher and has the background in teaching.  Even if you think you know how to color, you can still learn new techniques.

Christmas with Crafting by Designs

Hello Crafty Friends!!!  Today I'm excited to be Guest Designing for Crafting By Designs, YAH!!!

This challenge we are helping you to get ready for Christmas.  Many of us cardmakers have SO many Christmas cards to make every year.  It's hard to find the time, so making them here and there really helps to get them done before the big rush of Christmas.  So join us by getting one more Christmas card done.

I love vintage stamps and images.  I went ahead and colored the image with my color pencils, but it would look great uncolored too.  Maybe stamped in a vintage brown color.  Some lace, distressing of the paper and metal corner pieces to finish out the design.  I even added some glitter gems.  Now I have 2 Christmas cards done and only 38 more to go....lol.

Here's the inside. (the rainbow came through my window)

Dr Digi Bookmarking

Hello crafty friends!  It's time for another Dr Digi post.  Keeping with the current challenge, Anything But A Card.

Being a homeschool mom, we have a library of books in this house.  Somehow bookmarks get lost and disappear.  So, I make a few new ones every year.  I used Dr Digi Pretender Strat image on this bookmark.  I colored it with my color pencils to look like my son's guitar.  The backing paper is also from Dr Digi: Skull and Bones.  Being a bookmark I couldn't make it too bulky, but I wanted something else, so I added the metal gears.

Here's the backside, where I stamped on the back flap.
