Let's Craft & Create - Love Is In The Air

Hello Crafty Friends!  I'm here today with my post for Let's Craft and Create and "Love Is In The Air".


I absolutely love this image from Julia Spiri called The First Kiss.  It's just a beautiful, innocent and adorable image.  I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils.  I wanted to keep the design fairly simple that way the image could be the main focus.

Creatalicious with Winter Flurries

Hello crafty friends!!  I'm excited to announce that I'm on a new DT,,,Creatalicious.  For my first DT project I created something a little frosty with sponsor image from Cute As A Button.  For the next 2 weeks our challenge is Anything Goes with the optional to Use a Sentiment.

I worked with this beautiful image Winter Flurries from Cute As A Button.  The image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  I couldn't help myself with layering lots of paper and using a dark navy blue as my base.  Some lace, gauze, Stickles and distressing to give it a flurry look.

Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog #89 Fancy My Fold

Hello fellow crafters!!  It was nice to have a week off to catch up on a few crafty things, but I hope you are already to play in the new challenge at Love to Scrap! For this challenge I create a Dutch Fold card using sponsor image Me and My Snowman from Star Stampz.  I thought this was an adorable image.  I colored it with my Prismacolor pencils and added some snow with white paint.  A little bit of bling was added to the musical notes, as well as the snowflakes.


When the bottom flaps are opened they serve as an easel to hold the card up.  I decided to put some more snowmen inside the card.

House of Cards - Christmas Layers

Hello again fellow crafters!  This is my second post for today.  It's a new month, so a new challenge is starting at House of Cards.


Here's the beautiful inspiration pic.  The theme is lots of layers and/or colors.


I created a non-traditional color Christmas card with layers for this challenge.  You can never have too many Christmas cards.  I really love the soft colors of this pic.  I used a Stampin' Up stamp for this card.  Added a little sparkle with some pearls and rhinestones.

Scrapping4fun #74 - Masculine

Hello crafty friends!  It's time for a new challenge over at Scrapping4fun.  It's hard to believe that September is almost half way over, but I'm SO ready for Autumn.  The Fall Festivals are my favorite, with hay rides, fresh apple cider, pumpkins, and my favorite...homemade apple cider donuts.  I'm ready for Autumn.  I hope you are ready for our new challenge, it's "Masculine" for the next 2 weeks.

I'm using sponsor image Fishing.  Such a handsome little farm boy.  He definitely looks like a boy who plays rough.  He clothes need mending (maybe they are his play clothes) and he has a sling shot in his back pocket.  The image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils.

House of Cards - Gorgeous Chaos

Hi fellow crafters!  I promise this is the last post for today :o)  This is the first of the month and that means another wonderful monthly challenge will be starting at House of Cards today.


Here's the inspiration pic for the challenge.  Use twine and/or colors for this challenge.  (Some people would call this floss, but whatever you have twine/floss you can use it.)


For this challenge, I decided to use Julia Spiri's image, The Secrets of Venice.  It's a beautiful image that I colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  I try to match the colors as close as possible to the inspiration pic.  I did use twine/floss just to make sure.


Here's the inside.   This sentiment is from Unity Stamp, I don't know if they sell it individually anymore or just in a set now.

Christmas with Crafting by Designs

Hello Crafty Friends!!!  Today I'm excited to be Guest Designing for Crafting By Designs, YAH!!!



This challenge we are helping you to get ready for Christmas.  Many of us cardmakers have SO many Christmas cards to make every year.  It's hard to find the time, so making them here and there really helps to get them done before the big rush of Christmas.  So join us by getting one more Christmas card done.


I love vintage stamps and images.  I went ahead and colored the image with my color pencils, but it would look great uncolored too.  Maybe stamped in a vintage brown color.  Some lace, distressing of the paper and metal corner pieces to finish out the design.  I even added some glitter gems.  Now I have 2 Christmas cards done and only 38 more to go....lol.

Scrapping4fun #65

Hello crafty friends :o)  Looks like summer is well on it's way here.  Lots of sunshine, some much needed rain and just getting sticky hot already.  I've always love the warmer weather, maybe because I'm a summer baby.  This year seems to be flying by and so has the last 2 weeks from our last challenge at Scrapping4fun.  Yup, it's time for a new challenge and it's a favorite....Anything Goes.

I was given this wonderful image, Ben On A Raft, from Ike's Art to create my project.  I decided to make a cute tag.  It's a summery image and would be great on a little gift bag.  The image is colored with my color pencils.  Lots of distressing, gauze and seashells to finish it up.

Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog - #75

Hello crafty friends!  UGH!  I've been fighting the flu bug that the family decided to share with me.  One brings it home and shares with another, and it continues down the line.  So far 2 boys are still healthy, so hopefully those boys will live through without catching this bug.  Lucky them :oP

I hope you are ready for another challenge at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog.  For the next 2 weeks we want to see creations with "Bows" on them.  It's "The Big Bow Theory" challenge, but remember you still need stamping, rubber and/or digital on your projects.

I got to work with sponsor image from Oddball Art called Sally So Sickly.  Talk about perfect timing for this household.  I colored the image with my color pencils.  The band-aid and redcross came with the image set too.  I distressed the paper, because we feel a little rough around the edges when we are sick.  Don't forget the big bow, because that's part of the challenge.

Lucky Birthday

Hi crafty friends!!  I'm here today with a commission card.  I was asked to create a festive card for someone's birthday that happens to be on St. Patrick's Day.  Yes, it had to be green.


I knew I wanted to make a shaker card, it allow me to play with the fuse-it tool again.  This time it went much easier with the correct weight of acetate paper.  Then I also found this great find of glitter paper.  Extra bling points for me :o)  With all that bling I had to keep the design very simple.  The image is from Bugaboo, which I colored with my color pencils.
