Dr Digi - Spaced Out

Hello fellow crafters!  I'm here today with my Dr Digi post.  I'm running a little late, but it's okay, it's a Belated Birthday card anyway.

I used the image Svetlana Queen of Uranus for my spacey card.  I colored her up with my Prismacolor pencils.  One of my sons informed me that she should be human because of her space helmet.  uummm...Well, she's an alien that can't breathe our toxic air here on Earth.  I can never win with the house full of boys.

I put some 3-D glossy accent on her helmet, to make it more real.  I typed up the sentiments and printed them off on cardstock.  The dp is from Prettygrafik Designs.

Here's the inside.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

For this challenge I worked with sponsor image called Winter Games 1.  The playful image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  I made sure I kept up with a wintery feeling, by choosing vintage frost dp from Michele R Deigns.  The little sentiment is from Unity.

Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog #82 - Anything Goes

Hello crafty friends!  We have a new challenge at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog.  For the next 2 weeks it's "Anything Goes".  Remember we must see some stamping, being rubber and/or digital on your project.

We have 3 wonderful sponsors for this challenge and that means the DT will pick 3 wonderful winners.

Winner will receive 7 images of choice

Winner will receive 4 images

Winner will receive 3 images of choice

For this challenge I used my own sponsor image from Karleigh Sue Digis called El Gato Dia De Los Muertos.  I love kitties and had to color up this image.  The image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  Trying to get rid of some scrap paper laying around, this card was made from scraps.  Even the base card was a big scrap piece, because I tend to use 12x12 cardstock.  The flowers I used a paint brush to drip and paint Pinata ink on them.

Here's the inside.

Dr Digi - Hard Weekend Retirement

Hello Dr Digi friends!  I'm here today with my Dr Digi post.   I've been in and out of town for the past month.  I'm just getting back from visiting my family finally, it's been 3 years and it was much needed.  Today I'm sharing a retirement card.

This image reminded me of my dad, this is Remote Control Colin.  What man hasn't done this?  Sitting in his recliner, remote in hand and a beverage in the other hand, just relaxing.  If you think it looks like Colin has a farmer's tan, you are right.  All that yard work gives you this wonderful tan and it seemed fitting for Colin.  This image was colored with my colored pencils.   I also used Links backing paper for my background.  I really like these funky paper prints that Dr Digi has.

Here's the inside.  I used Funny Sentiment Sheet 2 from Dr Digi.

I worked with this adorable sponsor image A Star Is Born from All Dressed Up.  Trying to get ahead on my Christmas cards this year...I don't think it's really working.  Somehow I still have several hundred to do right before Christmas.

The image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  I like to use different colors for Christmas, just to make things different.

Hello crafty friends!  I can't believe it's July already!!!  Many of you will being traveling during this holiday weekend, please be safe.  Yes, I'll be one of those crazies traveling the road this weekend, so stay out of my waaay..... please :o)

We have a new monthly challenge at House of Cards using this inspirational picture.  You need to create a card using "Fruit/Drink Image and/or Colors" from this pic.

I created a card from an old image that I thought would be fun to use (many of my stamps never get used).  It's called Martinis On Me from MFT (My Favorite Things).  The image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  I try to incorporate as many of the colors as I could, but I do have the drink part down.

Here's the inside.

Hope to see you in the challenge.
