Dr Digi: Freaky Tiki

Hello crafty friends!  Today is my Dr Digi post.

I created this fun card using Freaky Tiki.  I thought this would be a great card for a friend who loves the tropical weather of Florida.  Some fun colorful paper and a little burlap ribbon to finish off the design.  The image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils.

Here's the inside.

There's still time to play in Dr Digi's 5th bday celebration on Facebook.   Great prizes to be won!

Dr Digi: Super Dad

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here today with my Dr Digi post.   As kids, my brother and I, HAD to watch WWE with our dad.  Yes, Hulk Hogan, Jake the Snake, Andrea the Giant....etc, etc.  My dad would wrestling with us like one of these wrestlers.  Then he started using chemical warfare that would kill us. :o)

I decided to create a fun Father's Day card using this image El Gordo.  The image is colored using my Prismacolor pencils.  I really didn't know what colors to really use, just wanted something different than blue and red.  The podium was created for my "Super Dad" using Father's Day sentiments from Dr Digi.  Last, the backing paper is also from Dr Digi called Luchador.

Here's the inside, which I made sure to write my dad about how great he really is to me.

thank for looking and reading :o)

Let's Craft and Create: Girlfriend Gossip

Hello crafty friends!  It's the mid-post for Let's Craft and Create.  This month's challenge: Girls, Girls, Girls.  We want to see your girlie projects.

I created a girlie card using Saturated Canary image Broken Heart.  What gal hasn't sat eating a gallon of ice cream because of a broken heart.  I love these images from Krista.  The image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  Sponged ink around the image and distressed the edges.  The sentiment is from Unity Stamps, it was in a bag of stamps I won from Unity, so I'm not sure if it was from a stamp set or kit.

Here's the inside.

Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog #98 Boyz Rule

Hello crafty friends!  It's the mid-post for Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog.  These months seem to be flying by too fast this year, but I'm really enjoying the summer weather right now.  The kids and I picked blueberries at the local farm yesterday and the day before that, we went to the zoo/garden and played with the animals.  It's been beautiful :o)

Hopefully you have time to play in our challenges since they are a month long now.  If not, there is still time to play in our Boyz Rule challenge.  We have 3 wonderful sponsors, that means the DT will choose 3 awesome winners.
Winner will receive 3 images of choice.

Winner will receive 15% off coupon to store

Winner will receive 7 images of choice.

I created a Father's Day card using sponsor image Silhouette Hiker from DRS Designs.  My Gelatos were pulled out to colors this image.  It's fun making a mess with these, sometimes I think I need a few more colors for my collections (Lelsie, don't comment on my Gelatos collection...lol).  I tried to mix a little to get some different colors for the evening sky, it's not quite were I wanted it, but it worked.

For the inside, I picked this sentiment also from DRS Designs called Ten Mile Father's Day Greeting.  My dad also said he walked to school both ways up a hill no matter what.  I too walked everyday to school up hills and at one point walked 1 mile to school everyday.  Don't want to hear it dad.  It's the perfect Father's Day card for a old timer.

Love to Craft! Challenge Blog #11: Graduation

Hello crafty friends!  It's a new month and time for another challenge at Love to Craft! Challenge Blog.  It's always Anything Goes and any craft you want to share.  Last month I was working on a Sketch/journal book, but it got put on hold when a few last minute cards came rolling in for commission.

I was asked to created a graduation card based on a grandmother's pic of her grandson in his cap and gown.

A graduation card needs to be special, I feel like these kids work so hard to get to the finish line.  I decided on a bendy card.  I usually make my cards 6 1/2 x 5 which is an A7 size.  I used die-cuts from MFT stamps to create this card.

Given a few or so options on images, the grandmother decided on the Art By Mi Ran image Graduating Gordon.  It was a perfect fit from the pic she had given me.  Usually I hide the slits for the tabs, but I didn't want to over clutter the card.

Here's the card completely folded out.  The grandmother said her grandson was blown away by this card and knew it was specially made for him :o)  (this always makes me happy to hear)

thanks for looking and reading :o)

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:

stamps: Art By Mi Ran: Graduating Gordon, La-La-Land: Graduation Marci (sentiment)
