MLCCB #63: Felt Knitting Christmas Land

 Hello Crafty Friends :o)

Christmas in July it is ..... This is my post for MLCCB, anything Christmas.

My boys got me an advent calendar for felt knitting and I LOVED it!!!  Taking the wool and sculpting it into little magical pieces was very mindful.

Lots of presents and some trees.

The sleigh was presents.  Some of the finer details could be difficult, but I was learning with each piece how to take small pieces of wool to make the details.
Santa was fun.  I made his hat differently and the white really fluffy.  His beard is just rolling the wool.
Just small pieces of tiny wool to make the POST letters.
Baby deer in a stocking... how cute
The house, which was the hardest part, because each wall had to be precise.

The needles are very sharp doing this felt knitting, so wear the little leather finger covers they give you in the kit and buy a few extra to protect a few more fingers.  Most kits come with 1-3 needles, but a few more, because they will break sometimes doing the simplest detail work.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

MIUCB #78: Mixed Media Garden

 Hello Crafty Friends!

This post is for MIUCB, Mixed Media or anything crafty goes.  I love doing mixed media crafts, just because it's fun getting messy and just letting the mind be creative.

This is the finish project.

I started with painting the canvas with some different types of paints and then fixing tissue paper over the top.

The butterfly was a wooden embellishment that had been embossed and heavy glitter stones.  The flowers are metal, just make sure put a base coat of gesso paint down, then drop some ink to fill them.
Part of the thinking process ....
The finally project once again.

LTCCB #87: Hello New Neighbor

Hello Crafty Friends!  July is here like a lion breathing hot fire on us .... It is HOT!  Hopefully you are staying cool by crafting a little.

This is my post for LTCCB, Anything Crafty Goes.

Remember the days when you had to score out your paper just right to create these foldable box cards?  MFT has made it so simple now with using die-cuts. Best way to use up some scrap papers too. The houses are from another die-cut company.

I made this card for our new neighbors.

LTSCB #174: Pissy Party

Hello Crafty Friends!!   Can't believe we are already halfway through with the year and the summer is HOT!!

I'm here with my post for LTSCB, Anything Goes.  Please join us.

I know I have a lot of stamps, but we crafters never talk about our hoarding issues. These new stamps from Unity have been catching my eyes for awhile and I finally broke down and bought me a few in the new Pissy collection.  Knowing my chiropractor has a great sense of humor, I colored up this stamp (Pissy Party) with my Prismacolor pencils.

Here's the inside ... which he laughed and thought it was perfect.
