MFT Challenge Sketch #110 - Naughty

Made it for another MFT Weekly Challenge Sketch! As I was making this card, I was thinking of a few of my friends that I know have a dirty little mind.  This card is a little naughty.  Here's the sketch for the week:

Here's my take on the sketch.

I've had this stamp for awhile, thought it would be cute for Valentine or an anniversary, so I finally inked it up.  The image is MFT Who's That Girl line, Maid For You (looks like this image is retired).  I inked it and embossed the image.  I love the designer paper for this project, thought it made it look classy.  I water colored and regular color penciled my image.  Add some Stickles to the bottom of her outfit.  I did use a copic marker over the top of the pencil for the wall.

The metal piece holding the ribbon was from Stampin' Up hodge podge pieces.  I didn't like the brassy color it was, so I sponged Staz On Jet Black ink on the metal piece.
WARNING:  I'm posting the inside of this card and the person giving this card choose the sentiments she wanted.  IT IS NAUGHTY!!

The first sentiment came with the image, but the last one and the "naughty" on the front of the card came from MFT Twisted Sentiments set.  This card turned out to be one of my favorites.  I think I like the paper combination.

Friends with Flair - Birthday

I didn't think I was going to make a post today with everything going on.  After dinner I hurried and made a quick card just so I could enter Unity's Friends with Flair.  I hate missing FWF and I love looking at everyone's projects with Unity.

Forgive me, I had to take a night shot.

The sketch is from Seize the Birthday and this week they want a feminine card.  I will enter this card in their challenge as well.

Very simple design tonight. I used Unity Birthday Chic stamp set for my images and sentiment.  Quickly water colored some color to the images.

Tuesday Teapotters - Ladybugs

It's Tuesday Teapotters and this week we are going to WI.  An older lady name Marian has broken her legs for the second time in two years.  She's still in a wheelchair from the first fall.  We are sending her love this week.  Here's the inspiration teapot:

She likes ladybugs, Daffodils and Apples.  Here's my card:

Ms Marian loves to play Scrabble and we get extra cookies for putting Scrabble game pieces on the card.  I had to make my pieces.  I used some plywood from SU and MFT Square Stax die-cut to make the Scrabble pieces.  All the stamps used were Stampin' Up stamps.  All the images were colored with color pencils.

MFT Challenge Sketch #109

It's been awhile since I've gotten sketchy with My Favorite Things, so I thought it's time to get back in the groove of a good sketch challenge.  Here's the sketch:

Here's my take on their sketch:

I know it's not exactly like the sketch, but it's what I came up with.  I've had this set for awhile and haven't had the chance to use it, but here it is.  This is the MFT First Class Friend stamp and die-cut set.  This card is about sending lots of hugs and love.

Using pop-ups to the seals, I made sure the twine was stuck between the paper and the pop-ups.

A perfect love quote for the inside.

paper used:  SU Razzleberry, The C-Three Ruler Co-Sweet Romance, Recollections Printed Tissue and some scraps

Friends with Flair - I'll give you my heart

YAY for Friday!!  Unity has Friends with Flair where they want to see their customers work of art!  I'm already pretty happy about this week, because I was featured on Unity blog by Ms Shemaine on Tuesday.  Thank you again, I almost didn't post that card on Splitcoasters.

This week I'm posting a valentine, I know, there's no surprise there.

I finally inked up this cutie by Phyllis Harris, i will give you my heart.  I did the traditional colors of red and pink.  The polka dot paper is from MME traveler 6x6 pad.  I colored her in with watercolor pencils and regular color pencils.  Added a little twine and jute with a wooden button.

Tuesday Teapotters - Black and White

This week the teapotters are giving a card to another teapotter.  Once a month we have a tickle a teapotter, which is like a card swap, but this week all the cards are going to one lucky teapotter.  The Mother Mudder, she is the one who started this group and needs to take a break because of work.  Ms Cindy will be truely missed, but I'm sure she will check-in.  Here's the teapot:

Here's my polka dot card:

I used circle punches from SU to make my polks dots (it was faster than running circles through a die-cut).  This was a simple challenge.  Black and white or white and black plus one extra color.  I figured most people would go for the red, so I decided blue would make a nice color.

Rock On

I saw Chocolate, Coffee & Card Blog Challenge #31 - Rock On Challenge and I knew what stamp I needed to use.  I haven't had the chance to ink it up yet and I bought it because my 16 year old plays the guitar.  Yay for this challenge!!

I used Unity Rock on Kid Stamp by Phyllis Harris.  For the background paper I used MME traveler paper pad, knowing this guitar player was a world traveler.  Some die-cut super stars were needed too.  I fussy cut the image out (actually, I'm in love with my razor blade) and popped him up on the background.  I colored him with water color pencils and regular color pencils.

As you can see, I also popped up the center black star too. Which was embossed with white embossing powder.

The inside needed to be decorated too. On the front and inside of the card, I smudge black ink around.

I'll also enter this card in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Paper Piecing

stamps used: Unity Rock on Kid, inside sentiments MFT Big Greetings and Unity party all day

paper used: SU Black, Chocolate Lovers kraft, MME traveler

die-cut: MFT Star Stax

Friends with Flair - Mushy

Finally Friday !!!  That means Friends with Flair at Unity !!  Sharing some Love cards today.

I decided to finally use my Unity You Make Me....Mushy stamp.  I didn't overpower it with lots of reds and pinks, instead I wanted something nontraditional...green (my favorite color and husband's).  Added Lace on a roll and a brad, DONE!!

The inside to match the outside.

Next, is another stamp from Unity I haven't used yet, Everything in Love (it's only $2.99 right now).

I found this handmade paper years ago and love it.  Just love the little hearts added into the paper.

As you can see both cards are very simple.  I admit, that sometimes I make things more complicated than they need to be.

I'll also be entering these cards in the Tammy's Scrapin Corner - #46 Red and/or Hearts

Tuesday Teapotters - American Bike

Teapotters are going to Illinois, my home state, to send cheers to a Harley riding mama that has been diagnosed with Leukemia.  The challenge was to have red, white and blue and extra cookies for a bike.  Here's the inspiration teapot:

We always have cookies for inspiration too, but I usually don't post the cookies, but here they are: (just in case you needed a snack)

Here's my Biker card:

Just a lot of paper cutting and pasting for the flag.  I used MFT Star die-cut for the stars.  There are 9 stars for her 6 kids and 3 grand-kids.  For the awesome bike, Unity Big Bad Bike stamp.  I stamped the image and embossed it in clear.

Since I used a Unity Stamp, I'll enter this card in the Friends with Flair on Friday.

Friends with Flare - True Love

It's Friday and that means Friends with Flare at Unity Stamps!
Getting ready for Valentine's, even though we don't celebrate the Hallmark holiday, I still make cards for those in the family that do.  I used the Stamp of the Week from Unity for my card, Love Speaks Volumes.

Using up some of my old Stampin' Up papers for this card.  I thought the bg paper would be fun to use.  The image was colored with watercolor pencils and regular color pencils.  The hearts were stamped on Razzleberry paper and embossed like the rest of the image.  The last 3 hearts are popped up.

it's been cloudy here, so the images are darker than i would like.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

paper used: SU, the yellow was scrap

die-cuts: MFT Square Stax 1 & 2

UPDATE ON MY DOG:  thank you to so many who have asked about our dog.  He is a 13 1/2 year old Shiba Inu. After a couple days at the animal hospital, we found out he has vestibular disease. He's still having trouble walking, but at least he can walk and he is finally eating tonight (Friday).  I'm just glad he is home.
