Dr Digi - Tinsel in a Tangle

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here today with my Dr Digi post.  Still trying to get some Christmas cards knocked out of the way.  I feel like I work on them ALL year around.

I create this festive card using a FREE image from Dr Digi called Bauble.  This image will not break your budget.  I used 4 of this image and sized them down to the size I wanted.  Colored them with my Prismacolor pencils, then fussy cut them out.  String them on some ribbon I had lying around.  The sentiment is also from Dr Digi from the Christmas Sentiment Sheet.  Just changed the color to the words tinsel and tangle in photoshop.

Scrapping4fun #79 : Kitty Christmas

Hello crafty friends!   Happy Thanksgiving to the American crafters.  Right now I'm sure I'm in a turkey coma from all the good food I ate today.  I always love how the house smells when cooking.

I hope you are ready for a new challenge at Scrapping4fun.  For the next 2 weeks you have time to get some more Christmas creations completed, because our challenge is "Christmas".

I got to work with the darling image from Ike's called Kat Tree.  I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils.  I kept the card very simple and used rustic colors.
I really like this image, because I know a few cats that like to tear up the Christmas tree.

Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog: Angel

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here today with the start of our new challenge at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog.  It's a busy week here with Thanksgiving this Thursday and my family is already starting to arrive.  By Wednesday there will be 16 people in my house...sleeping, eating and gathering.  That's a lot of cooking and cleaning for me, I'm already exhausted :o)

Still working on my Christmas cards, I created this card using sponsor image from Julia Spiri called Ofelia Angel.  I wanted the angel to look wintery.  The image is colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  I know this is probably an unusual type of Christmas card, but I think it works.

Let's Craft & Create: Vintage Christmas

Hello crafty friends!  I'm getting ready for my family to start arriving for Thanksgiving.  Some come and stay a week, some 3-4 days, which I enjoy each minute with my family.  I just found out that we will have 16 people in our house for at least 3 days....and I do ALL the cooking.  I'm already exhausted.  Wish us luck :o)

Anyway, it's time for another challenge at Let's Craft and Create.  We want to see some "Winter" creations.

I create this wintery card using vintage stamp set from Flonz called Vintage Christmas Pack 4.  I love old vintage items.  As you can see one paper is winter and the other is more decorative. I decided to sponge this image instead of coloring it, that's because it was part of a 20 card commission and I already colored tons.

Dr Digi - X Files

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here today with my Dr Digi post.  Yes, it's a very unusual kind of Christmas card, but it's exactly what my friend loves.

I created this cute little alien card for a friend who loves the X-Files.  When I saw the sentiment stamp in my stash, I knew I had to use it.  I think this cutie is exactly what my friend would love in a Christmas card.  He was colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  He is cute with his hat and offering of a candy cane :o)

Creatalicious with Winter Flurries

Hello crafty friends!!  I'm excited to announce that I'm on a new DT,,,Creatalicious.  For my first DT project I created something a little frosty with sponsor image from Cute As A Button.  For the next 2 weeks our challenge is Anything Goes with the optional to Use a Sentiment.

I worked with this beautiful image Winter Flurries from Cute As A Button.  The image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  I couldn't help myself with layering lots of paper and using a dark navy blue as my base.  Some lace, gauze, Stickles and distressing to give it a flurry look.

Scrapping4fun #78 Naughty or Nice?

Hello crafty friends!  Even though November is speeding by quickly, I hope you are finding time to craft, cook and be creative.  We have another wonderful challenge at Scrapping4fun and you should join in to get another Christmas card or project off your list.  For the next 2 weeks...we want to see some Christmas creations.

For this challenge I worked with this cute, but naughty image from Fabrika Fantasy called Naughty Cherry Elf.  It doesn't look like he is sharing very well.  This was a cute and challenging image to color with my Prismacolor pencils.  The challenging part was the glass jar full of cherries and to make it look like that.
I had the sentiment in my stash of stamps, that just seem fitting.  The sparkling green paper, which is a glitter paper, was leftover from another project.  There was glitter everywhere after running it through the die-cutting machine :o)  By the way, the base paper is wild cherry...

Hello fellow crafters!!  It was nice to have a week off to catch up on a few crafty things, but I hope you are already to play in the new challenge at Love to Scrap! For this challenge I create a Dutch Fold card using sponsor image Me and My Snowman from Star Stampz.  I thought this was an adorable image.  I colored it with my Prismacolor pencils and added some snow with white paint.  A little bit of bling was added to the musical notes, as well as the snowflakes.

When the bottom flaps are opened they serve as an easel to hold the card up.  I decided to put some more snowmen inside the card.

Dr Digi - The Night Before Christmas

Hello Crafty Friends!  It's another Dr Digi post.  It's becoming crunch time for all those Christmas cards.  I decided to use an image that most use as a Get Well image and turned it into a Christmas one.

When I saw this image, Nightcap Derek, all I could think of was the story "The Night Before Christmas".  Nightcap Derek is all Chrismassy with his Christmas nightgown on.  It also looks like maybe he had a little too much eggnog and has a tummy ache.  I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils and tried to make it look like nighttime.  I picked a line from the story as my sentiment.  The design paper is also from Dr Digi called New Wave.

House of Cards - Christmas Layers

Hello again fellow crafters!  This is my second post for today.  It's a new month, so a new challenge is starting at House of Cards.

Here's the beautiful inspiration pic.  The theme is lots of layers and/or colors.

I created a non-traditional color Christmas card with layers for this challenge.  You can never have too many Christmas cards.  I really love the soft colors of this pic.  I used a Stampin' Up stamp for this card.  Added a little sparkle with some pearls and rhinestones.
