Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog #53 - A Stitch in Time!

Hello fellow crafters!  It's finally feeling warm and summery here with all the sunshine.  Makes me happy :o)

I hope you are ready for another challenge at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog.  For the next 2 weeks, we would love to see your creations with stitches on them, either real and/or faux.  Once again we have 3 wonderful sponsors for this challenge and that means 3 winners.

Lacy Sunshine winner will receive 3 images of choice.

Heartfelt Creations winner will receive a $25 gift certificate.

Angie's Digi Stamps winner will receive 3 images of choice.

Thank you to our wonderful sponsors :o)

I'm trying to finish up my Mother's Day cards, since it is approaching fast here in the states.  I used a Ppinkydolls image, Happy Mother's Day and used my Prismacolor pencils to color the image. The sign the little girl is holding up has stitching in it and I put faux stitching around the outside.  Since this card is going to my MIL in Louisiana, the background paper is very appropriate.

Here's the inside.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

stamp used: Ppinkydolls - Happy Mother's Day
papers used: MFT: grout gray, wild cherry, snow cone, nightshift blue, the Paper Studio: white, dp was a discount paper
die-cuts used: Sizzix labels regals, Spellbinders ironworks motifs, Martha Stewart butterfly punch
embellishments: Spare Parts vintage paper flower & white beaded micro flowers, Recollections faux pearls, Recycle ribbon from a package

Cute! Love the shape of the dies you used to frame the main image; the black really draws attention to the image and make everything pop.
