4 Crafty Chicks - New Beginnings

Hello crafty friends!  I'm back with my last post as a Guest Designer for 4 Crafty Chicks.  Since this is the 5th Thursday of the month, it's the Crazy Egg Challenge, which mean Anything Goes.  I want to thank the 4 Crafty Chicks DT for letting me design with them this month, it was fun :o)

It's hard to believe another year is gone and a new year is starting.  Here's to new beginnings.

I thought a baby card would be a great way to start the new year off.  This cute image is from Pink Cat Studio - Sweet Pea Stamps.  It's a cute stamp set with different babies ( I see the 2 of the 4 babies as individual stamps, but not the whole 11 stamp set).  This buckaroo was colored with my color pencils.  Many layers later...

Here's the inside.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

Relaxing with Dr Digi

Hello crafty friends!  I'm sure you are glad the Holiday Season is almost finished.  Being old and stuff, I'll probably be in bed before midnight on New Year's Eve.  I'll try to get to sleep before the neighbors start shooting off all the fireworks and hope they don't wake me up...lol.

I'm here with another Dr. Digi inspired card.  I bet many feel this way after the holidays.  Just need to nap, eat, stretch, and just relax.

I created a little scene with the Sofa So Good image from Dr Digi, but I didn't stop there.  I also used Derek and Deirdery Dunderton image, who's picture is on the wall.  I figured with Deirdery stylish purple hair that she would have purple wallpaper, that is funky as her.  The purple design paper is also from Dr Digi called Polos Backing Paper.  The truth of the matter, Dierdery probably got up to get something to eat and their dog took a sip of her tea before climbing onto the warm spot she left behind.  It happens to many of us.

I colored the images with my color pencils.  Of course the sofa image was fussy cut.  The wooden floor was made from scrap kraft paper that I took colored pencils to create the wood grain look. The sentiment is from Dr Digi's Pet Sentiment Sheet.

Here's the inside.

Merry Christmas!!!  I hope everyone is enjoying their Christmas right now.  May your tummies be full and your hearts light and happy :o)

I'm back with another 4 Crafty Chicks Guest Designing post.  This week's challenge is Wedding.  Please take a look at the talented DT inspiration projects.

This card turned out to be very thick and heavy, but I loved the way it turned out.  When my dad was visiting for Thanksgiving, he said that one of his friends was getting married in December.  This challenge had perfect timing.  This sweet image is from Make it Crafty called Geeky Love Getting Married.  It is colored with my color pencils.

Every veil needs to sparkle, so some Stickles was added to the veil.  The lace is from my stash, since 2001.

Here's the inside.  Which you can see, has just as many layers as the outside.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

Hope to see you in the challenge!

Hello fellow crafters!  This is Christmas week!!!  Hopefully everyone is ready to celebrate and be with family.

For this challenge I made 2 cards, so it's a little long.  First is the sponsor image from Angie's Cards & Digis.

I'm using the sponsor image Butterfly on a Toadstool.  I like to color nature scenes.  The image is colored with my color pencils and I sponged the green background (which the pic doesn't show it's true beauty).  I decided to add a little more pop of red with the paper.

Here's the inside.

My second project of this challenge:

For my second card I used a image from my stash, but it's still A Day for Daisies image, which is one of our sponsors.  The image is called Hope, but I could no longer find it on their website.  It's a beautiful image too.  This is colored with my color pencils.

Some pearls on one side, lace on the other.  The designer paper is from Michele R Designs.

Here's the inside.  The sentiment is from Unity called Remember YOU Baby Jesus

4 Crafty Chicks - Wanna Build a Snowman

Hello fellow crafters!!  EEKk!  It's almost Christmas!  I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday season so far :o)

I'm back with another Guest Designing post for the 4 Crafty Chicks.  This has been SO fun designing for this group of talented ladies.

For this weeks challenge, we want to see a SNOWMAN.  I used this cute image from Unity by Phyllis Harris called Let It Snow.  The image is colored with my color pencils.  Of course, more snowmen appear in the background, with the cute dp.  I wanted the sentiment that came with the stampset, but didn't want to add another piece of paper to the design, so I stamped on the designer paper.

Here's a closer look.  I use Stickles for the snowflakes falling from the sky.  I didn't want to go overboard and put glitter all over the cute scene.

Here's the inside.

Hope to see your snowman in the challenge!

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Dr Digi - Happy Christmas

Christmas is almost here!!  I hope you got most of your shopping done and don't forget to be merry.

I'm here today with a easy card and image from Dr Digi.  Money might be getting tight right now and this image is a freebie, so it won't break the bank.

I went with the one Bauble and colored it with my color pencils.   After the fact, you know when you are in bed trying to sleep, but everything pops into your head; I thought it would be cute sized down and have 2-3 small ones hanging around.  I might have to try it out.  Anyway, the fabulous paper and sentiment are also from Dr Digi.  There are some pre-colored images, so if you are short on time and need to get a card out fast you can use one of them.

Here's the inside.

Hello fellow crafters.  I'm going to be posting the rest of my Christmas cards in a few posts.  I decided to post by the image, because it will be easier.

Here is cutie from Unity Stamps called {Oh Deer} Happy Holidays.  I purchased this little guy last year and finally getting some use out of him.  With the little heart on his tummy, you gotta love him.

The image was colored with my color pencils.

Here's another card with the same image.  I used the same color pencils when I colored all the deer images (you will see more in later posts), but blended them differently to get different colors.  They couldn't all look alike.

Scrapping4fun = #56 Christmas/Winter

I'm still trying to get Christmas cards done to send...UGH.  I hope everyone is doing good this Holiday Season.  It goes by SO fast and next thing you know....it's the New Year.  Sometimes we just need to slow down and just enjoy things.  I'm trying :o)

Are you ready for another challenge at Scrapping4fun?  For the next 2 weeks we want to see Christmas and Winter theme projects.   We also have a wonderful sponsor for this challenge.

Check out their cute selection of stamps.

I used the sponsor image called Snowfall.  These little snow guys are just cute!  This card is a long skinny card 4x9, I wanted to make something different.  The sentiment on the bottom of the card is from Stampin' Up.

The image was colored with color pencils.  A little Stickles was added to the snowflake, for that little winter bling.

Here's the inside.

4 Crafty Chicks - Small Christmas

Hello fellow crafters!  Thank you all for your sweet comments, it warms the heart :o)

I'm here with my 2nd Guest Designing project for 4 Crafty Chicks.  Hopefully you are getting all your Christmas stuff done, because it's approaching very fast.

This week we are looking for projects that are Non-Traditional Christmas Colors.

I've had this Charlie Brown looking stamp for awhile and decided it needed to be stamped.  The stamp is from Unity called Small Stuff Christmas.  The image was colored with my handy dandy pencils.  For non-traditional colors, I went with this bluish/purple color and kraft.  The kraft color makes me think more vintage style, the paper bags they probably used to wrap gifts.  The sentiment is from the stamp set

Here's the inside.  I usually stamp the inside when I figure out who I'm sending them to.  Sometimes it's just a handwritten message, because I feel like that's a lost art anymore.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

Hope to see you in the challenge and please take a peek at the rest of the talented DT over at 4 Crafty Chicks
