Merry Little Christmas Challenge #35: Tree Tag

Hello crafty freinds :o)  Here's my post for MLCCB, where the challenge is Christmas all year long.

A little Christmas tag with lots of layers.  I started off with a tag and put some Christmas paper on most of it.  Covered the paper with gesso and paint, stamped a tree, then sewed around the edges.  Couple years ago, I die-cut some ornaments out and didn't use them all, added a stamp to the die cut.  Some more die-cuts, embossing and a sticker sentiment to finish it off.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

stamps: SU: Pattern Pines, Unity

die-cut: MFT, SU

embellishments: Tim Holtz: Clippings Stickers, Hobo: yarn, Ribbon Club ribbon, Stampendous: embossing powder, paint

Mix It Up Challenge Blog #50: Love My Teacher

Hello crafty friends :o)   Here's my post for MIUCB, this month's challenge is about stamping.

Even though my son is in high school (his last year, because they are sending him to junior college 2 years early), I decided to make some thank you cards that held gift cards inside for his wonderful teachers. With the strange school year, he went to school for 3 hours in the afternoon with a couple of other students (2-3 other students were in his class). The die cut for the cards is from TLC Designs: Apple A Day  Looking through my stash of rubber stamps, I found the perfect stamp from Unity for the front of the cards.  To hold the gift cards in place, I used zips.

These turned out very cute.  Thanks for looking and reading :o)

stamps: Unity: Apple of My Eye

paper: Warehouse Cardstock: brown bag, cherry red

die-cut: TLC Designs: Apple A Day

embellishment: twine

Love to Craft Challenge Blog #89: Beauty Begins

Hello crafty friends :o)  A new month, another post.  This post is for LTCCB, where every month is Anything Goes.  Inspire us with what you have been crafting in your craft room.

I really LOVE the images from Power Poppy, they are beautiful and detailed.  This image is Hyacinth Bulb in a Glass, that I colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  The sentiment is also part of this digital stamp set. Some sewing, embossing, and sponging to give it a vintage look, don't forget the lace.

Here's the insde.
