Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog #46: Dragon Stocking

Hello crafty friends :o)  Welcome to September and the smell of Fall.  All the sister blogs are live today, please visit them.

This post is for MLCCB, Anything Christmas goes

Couple months ago we did a Kit and Clowder coloring of a dragon building a snowman, I saw this image and had to have it too.  The artist is Lee Holland, image called Dragon Holding Stocking. The image is colored with my prismacolored pencils. Dragons are part of Christmas now, just as long as they don't blow fire and burn up the gifts.

Here's the inside.

Hello crafty friends :o)  Another new month, more fabulous new inspirations.  Please check out all the sister blogs.

This post is for MIUCB, Optioal Smooshing/Anything Goes

Sometimes I design things for other projects and decide I don't like them... on that project, so they get put to the side until I can figure out what to do with them.  After distressing a couple of cards, I didn't like them on another project, put made them front and center for this tag.  Stencil, scrap pieces of paper, paint, inks, and objects filled this tag .

A little sentiment for the back.

This post is for LTCCB, Anything Goes

Some cute piggies in a bucket enjoying the last few days of summer.  The image is from Lee Holland and I purchased it awhile ago.  When I went to post this blog, I noticed it was no longer in the store, this could be that it was Kit and Clowder's coloring for last month's class.  Hopefully, it will appear back in the store soon.  The image is colored in prismacolored pencils, no it's not the KnC class coloring.

I can't resist cute bear images ... just bears in general.  This cutie is from Di's Digital Stamps, called Buzzy Bear.  The image is colored with prismacolored pencils, with a sponged background.  I wanted some kind of sentiment, so some small words stamped on clouds seemed perfect.

My Favorite Things has made making box cards very easy, everything is ran through the die-cutting machine, just put together.

The adorable image is from Lee Holland Art called Cute Lion and colored with my Prismacolor pencils.

I did sponge the edges of the grass to give it some depth, thought a few small flowers were needed.

The Rounded Banner die-cut was used for the back to stamp a sentiment. This Sentiment from Unity is perfect.

I wasn't sure what sentiment to use at first, so looking through my collection, I came across this CC Designs sentiment.  It works with the image.

Merry Little Christmas! Challenge Blog #44: Black and White Angel

Hello crafty friends :o)   It's always Christmas at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog, please inspire us with your Christmas projects.

This is a coloring class from Kit and Clowder, the image is from Alyce herself.  I think black & white, sepia, or monotone colored images can be very beautiful.  This image was colored with Prismacolor pencils, just a few.  It didn't have to be a Christmas card, but I it would be pretty as one.

I get asked why do I keep taking classes if I already know how to color. Each class is like practicing your skill and you can still learn new ideas or techniques.  With kids, it's hard to find the time to do anything but taxi them around these days, but you should always find some "me time", even if it's 30 mins.

Here's the inside.

Mix It Up! Challenge Blog #59: Double the Treats

Hello crafty friends :o)   Ready for another challenge at Mix It Up! Challenge Blog, we would like to see 3-D projects, but it is optional.

Making boxes for gifts or goodies to give is fun.  Now with machine and designs, there are so many fun designs to choose from.  This SVG file is from Lori Whitlock called 2 Compartment Cookie Box.  Not sure if I will put cookies inside, but I was thinking some chocolate and other goodies.

Here's the inside.  It was very easy to put together and is very sturdy.  The kraft paper I used was a heavy paper.

My dad turned 70 this year, I think he looks much younger than this image, but my kids picked it out.  The image was colored with Prismacolor pencils.  The cute die-cut is from MFT, which I just bought this die-cut, but do not see it in their store right now, it called Balloon Cover Up.

Hello crafty friends :o)

Here with my project for Mix It Up! Challenge Blog, where Fancy Folds are a creative must.

When you find cute stamps and die-cuts/svgs that go together ... just have to make a card.  The coffee cup is a svg file from Lori Whitlock website, part of Doodle bug collections.

The inside of the card has my fancy fold technique for this challenge.  It's also a svg file from Lori Whitlock, I really like the book fold of this.  The stamp from Sugar Pea Designs goes perfectly with the coffee files.

Hello crafty friends :o)

I'm sharing my project for Love to Craft! Challenge Blog, Anything Goes.

This is a small bag, maybe a gift card or a small gift.  Having a collections of flowers from other projects, I decided I needed to use some of my stash. Every crafter has been there, we need 1-3 pieces of an embellishment and they only sell a bag of 2,000 (maybe I have exaggerated a little ,oP).

Little close up of the details.

You should always let the person you love everyday in big or small ways that they are special to you. This cute little bear is from Polkadoodle called Winston Heartfelt. The image is colored with my prismacolor pencils using the dotting technique, your hand and wrist will hurt from all those dots.. lol.

Love to Craft! Challenge Blog #65: Surprise 50th

Hello crafty friends.  Happy New Year !!!  I hope all is safe, happy and healthy.

The sister blogs have gotten facelifts and new way of doing things, please read the new rules and check out how everything will operate in 2022.

Here is my post for Love to Craft! Challenge Blog, it's always Anything Goes.  Let's see what you have been crafting up.

My brother's girlfriend started planning my brother's surprise 50th 9 months in advance.  It was amazing that everyone kept it a secret for that long.  Here is the postboard to hold pictures almost done.  I have never worked with sticky vinyl, boy was it rough.  The SVG files I picked, the image could not be separated, so the full image had to cut for each color I wanted.  Some modeling paste that was colored with distressed inks, was used with stencils to make some texture.  Then I sprayed some distress inks over the board.

I forgot to take a picture of the board before adding the pictures.  Paint was dabbled on to make the beer foam puffy looking.  Everything turned out very nice and the guy who knows everything, was extremely surprised.

Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog #152: Dragon Snowman

Hello crafty friends.  Happy New Year!!  May 2022 be blessed, filled with happiness, self love of mindfulness, and great health.

The 4 sisters blogs have a different look and different vibe.  Please read all the new changes when entering your projects.  This post is for Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog , the challenge is Anything Goes.

Finally finding some time to get back into coloring and creating again, most importantly, finishing up some color classes.  This is Kit and Clowder color pencil class for the month of October.  The cute little dragon making a snowman is from artist Lee Holland, the image was made just for Kit and Clowder at this time.  Some people ask why I still take classes: 1. it's supporting a small business  2. you can always learn something new or practice what you might already know.  Practicing something over and over again, it how we get better.

I haven't decided what to do with this image yet, but it's small enough to make a card.
