Hello crafty freinds :o)  We are approaching the Holiday Season very fast, don't blink or you will miss it ... might not be a bad idea.  This post is for MLCCB, Anything Christmas is wanted.

This image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils following the class techniques.

Mix It Up Challenge Blog #68: Secret Flower Garden

Hello and Happy New Year Crafty Friends!!  Wishing you a blessed and crafty 2024.

This post is from Mix It Up Challenge Blog, for this challenge, we would like to see some mixed media creations.

This is my inspiration project of mixed media, which I really love getting messy.  Mixed media can be fun and a good stress reliever.

The image is from Alyce at Kit and Clowder, Enchanted Fairy House Door.  This is a monthly pencil class from September 2023.  Colored by me with prismacolor pencils.

I painted the canvas with some gesso white paint, like a primer to get things started.  Using spray inks to achieve the background colors, which I match to the image's background.  Then I used two different stencil with modeling paste to get some added details, which the paste soaks up the ink and blends in nicely (you see in the finished project).

Going through some Tim Holtz embellishments, I found this address label.  Distressed with some inks and placed it surrounded by the moss.

Just some of the added details and sparkle that is needed.

Love to Scrap Challenge Blog #165: Cabin in the Lights

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy New Year!!!   Hopefully everyone will have a great 2024.

This post is for Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog, Anything Goes.   Please also check out the sister blogs that go alive today for more inspiration.

Using the Kit and Clowder class of the month for color pencil for my project this month. Learned about Northern Lights, I would like to do this one again with some different colors.  Image was drawn by Alyce of Kit and Clowder.

It makes the perfect bookmark due to how long the image is and I laminated it for wear and tear.

Added a sentiment on the back ... a friend thought of the sentiment and it seemed perfect for this.

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy New Year !!  Hope we can start out your new year with lots of inspiration with all sister blogs going live today.  Don't forget to take a nap, if you stayed up hooting with the owls.

This is for Love to Craft! Challenge Blog, Anything crafty goes.

I created this card from a bonus coloring project from Kit and Clowder. The image is from Alyce.  Even when we have been doing things for a long time, like coloring, it's always good to keep practicing.  Even taking a couple of classes to refresh, never know when you will learn something new.

Merry Little Christmas! Challenge Blog #44: Black and White Angel

Hello crafty friends :o)   It's always Christmas at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog, please inspire us with your Christmas projects.

This is a coloring class from Kit and Clowder, the image is from Alyce herself.  I think black & white, sepia, or monotone colored images can be very beautiful.  This image was colored with Prismacolor pencils, just a few.  It didn't have to be a Christmas card, but I it would be pretty as one.

I get asked why do I keep taking classes if I already know how to color. Each class is like practicing your skill and you can still learn new ideas or techniques.  With kids, it's hard to find the time to do anything but taxi them around these days, but you should always find some "me time", even if it's 30 mins.

Here's the inside.

Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog #152: Dragon Snowman

Hello crafty friends.  Happy New Year!!  May 2022 be blessed, filled with happiness, self love of mindfulness, and great health.

The 4 sisters blogs have a different look and different vibe.  Please read all the new changes when entering your projects.  This post is for Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog , the challenge is Anything Goes.

Finally finding some time to get back into coloring and creating again, most importantly, finishing up some color classes.  This is Kit and Clowder color pencil class for the month of October.  The cute little dragon making a snowman is from artist Lee Holland, the image was made just for Kit and Clowder at this time.  Some people ask why I still take classes: 1. it's supporting a small business  2. you can always learn something new or practice what you might already know.  Practicing something over and over again, it how we get better.

I haven't decided what to do with this image yet, but it's small enough to make a card.

Love to Craft! Challenge Blog #56: DayDreaming Fairy

Hello crafty friends :o)  Here's my post for Love to Craft! Challenge Blog, where every month is Anything Goes.  We want to see what you have been crafting up.

This beautiful image is from Janna Fairy called Daydreaming.  The image was colored in Prismacolor pencils following the monthly pencil coloring class of Kit and Clowder  from March of 2020 class.  (I'm a little behind on my coloring classes ...sssshhh).  Even if you know how to color, just doing classes can help you keep in practice and maybe pick up some new tips.  Maybe even new color combos to try.

After the coloring is done, it's time to figure out what to create with each image from the class.  I decided to make a canvas with this fairy.

Several layers of stencils, paints, distress inks, embossing powder, micro beads, tissue paper, chipboard, flowers, twine, crystals ... voila !   Maybe an old button or two I had laying around.

These sentiment tags are actually from my tea bags.  Yes, I saved my tea bag quotes, because I thought they were beautiful statements.

The leather label ...seem fitting with the image.

Mix It Up Challenge Blog #42: Distressing Country

Hello crafty friends  :o)   This is my post for Mix It Up Challenge Blog, this month we are looking for projects with distressing,  This could be inks or with tools.

I used a distressing tool for around the edge of the paper, it's one of my favorite techniques.  Layers really make this technique beautiful.

This image is from Kit and Clowder, it's a bonus coloring class.  Every month, there is a bonus class that teaches a certain technique, that members vote for.  I decided to color the image with my Prismacolor pencils on kraft paper.

Here is the inside with a stamped sentiment.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog #43: Animal Bags

Hello crafty friends!  New month, new challenges and lots of inspirations between the 4 sisters blog going live today.

This post is for Love to Craft! Challenge Blog: Anything Goes every month.  We want to see what you have been working on in your crafting room (or area like myself)

As you can see the label on the bag, this is a Kit and Clowder coloring class.  Alyce released 3 different animal print canvas bags.  I did the zebra last year and finally made it to the last 2 bags. This elephant is just adorable :o)

The image was colored was my Prismacolor pencils.  I love how easy it is to color on canvas bags.

Here is the cute lion.  Alyce does video tutorials on how to color each.  Once you do one bag, it is so easy to do the next one.  I find coloring these bags very addicting.

Mix It Up Challenge Blog #29: Zebra Bag

Hello crafty friends!  This is another sister blog post.  This post is for Mix It Up! Challenge Blog, where we like to try new techniques or ideas out in our projects.

This month"s challenge is about 3-D projects.

Kit and Clowder offered these animal canvas bags to color up.  I'm all about the environment and like taking my own bags to stores, it should be cute.  You can purchase 3 different animal bags or buy them together.  I have all 3 bags and the zebra is the first one to be colored up.

Yes, this is a canvas bag and it's colored with Prismacolor pencils. Even though I ironed it, darn creases would not come out....lol  Maybe over time they will disappear.

Love to Craft! Challenge Blog # 38: Mousing Around

Hello crafty friends!  Today is the day for 4 posts of the sister's blog.  I'm here for Love to Craft! Challenge Blog, where it's Anything Goes every month.  Show us what you have been creating.

It's been awhile since I shared a Kit and Clowder coloring of the month project.  Every month we learn new techniques and we get to vote for a extra bonus class of a different technique.  Even if you know how to coloring, it's good practice, to use techniques you might not use very often or to learn new ones.   I'm a little behind on getting some of the months finished, but I had to do this cute mouse image.  I haven't decided if I want to make a mix media project or a card, you might see it again as a finish project.  This is June's pencil coloring class, the image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils.

Mix It Up Challenge Blog #25: Grungy

Hello crafty friends!  It's a new month already and Spring is here.    We have a new monthly challenge at Mix It Up Challenge Blog, this month we want to see some mixed media projects.

Those who have been following me for awhile, know that I take Kit and Clowder classes.  This was the last project I needed to do for the Mixed Media class.  It was 3 projects using the same image in different ways.  I wanted to be different, decided to use the class project image once and 2 different ones for the other 2 projects.  This image is Christmas Prayer from Saturated Canary, artist Krista Smith.

Sprayed the canvas first with ink, then laid some stenciling on top in different areas.  Brushed paint around the edges and image (using the dappling technique).  There are micro beads, flowers (painted with the same color paints), chipboard, embossing powered, gold flakes, wire string.   It was nice to use items from my crafting closet.

Love to Craft! Challenge Blog #26: Mermaid

Hello crafty friends!  This post is for Love to Craft! Challenge Blog where every month is "Anything Goes".  Don't forget to join us in our other sisters challenge blogs.

It's been awhile since I've shared a coloring page.  This is actually from the Kit and Clowder monthly pencil class from May 2016 and I just finally got to coloring this beauty.  The image Le Perla Stamp is from Janna Fairy Art and is colored with Prismacolor pencils.  Even though I color all the time, it's still nice to sit down and take a class to learn new ideas.  The coloring alone is very therapeutic and I don't have to worry about turning it into a project.  I have a few more Kit and Clowder monthly classes to start, hopefully I can share them in the future.

Love to Craft! Challenge Blog #13: Flower Bag

Hello crafty friends!  I have 2 posts for you today.  This is my Love to Craft! Challenge Blog post to start off a new month.  Right now, I'm traveling home to visit family and enjoying the rest of what's left of summer.

This month I'm sharing a canvas bag that I colored.  As you can see, it's a Kit and Clowder bag that I purchased  (they were sold out super fast too).  Alyce teaches how to take care of your bag and how you can color with markers or color pencils.  I used my trusty Prismacolor pencils to color up the bag.  Afterwards, I set it with an iron and to get rid of the wrinkles from the travel.

Even though it could still fade in time, all I have to do...is color it up again.  I will tell you, it was a different way of coloring to make sure you don't snag the bag.  Learning new things is always good :o)

Pencil Class

Hello fellow crafters :o)  I'm finally getting around to posting the first image I colored in my online color pencil class from Kit & Clowder.  I know I kinda went backwards.

I colored this image with Prismacolor Pencils.  The class gives you a list of colors to use.  All you do is watch the video and color with Alyce.  It's lots of layers and building up slowly.  The image is from Ppinky Doll Stamps called Alyce Love.  When making a card I usually don't get all frilly, but since taking this class, I've learned to like it a little bit more.  There are 5 layers, plus image layer of distressed paper, lots of lace and flowers.  In the class videos Alyce shows you how to finish your projects.  She is an amazing teacher and will give you feedback on her class website.   I really enjoyed learning how to use my pencils my creatively, blending much better and learning the correct techniques.

Here's the inside.  The inside sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
