Crazy Challenge Guest Designer

Hello fellow crafters!  I'm Guest Designing at The Crazy Challenge again!!

For the next 2 weeks we want see projects based on this inspiration pic.

The inspiration picture made me think it was time to make my first shaker card.  I know, I'm a little slow when it comes to trying new things...lol.

Here's my shaker card.  I used Ching-Chou Kuik image Wishing Stars.  It seemed appropriate for the inspiration pic and I added star sequins.  The image was colored with my color pencils.

Here's the inside.

thanks for looking and reading :o)  Please take a look at the other DTs projects.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Season Challenge

We had a fun challenge on Kit and Clowder Facebook page.  Using the image Love in Spring by Ching-Chou Kuik, we had to color the image in our favorite season.  Of course, I went with Autumn/Fall.

Here's the image colored with my colored pencils.  During the Fall season there are vibrant colors that are so beautiful.  Even though shades of green are my favorite color, I love earthy tones of color too.  I also tried an ombre technique for the hair.

I put the finish image on a card.  Lots of layers and golden tones of Fall was used.  I found Autumn Shades digital paper from The Paper Shelter to use and I also used Michele R Design paper.  It wouldn't be Fall without a touch of burlap.

Here's the inside.

Happy 18th Birthday Mermaid

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for my "daughter".  She just turned 18 and loves mermaids and cats.

I fell in love with this digi image from Sweet Pea Stamps, Ocean Fantasy by artist Ching Chou Kuik.

After I found out, by her mother, she tried to dye some of her blonde hair turquoise, I knew what colors to use.  I could have made all the hair turquoise/blue color, but I wanted to have her blonde hair.  Burlap and some fiber was added behind the image.  On the corner die-cut, rhinestones were added.

I made sure the scales had glitter on them.  Added some shells, because I knew I wasn't going to mail it, from a beach trip long ago.  Of course some pearls needed to be added to complete the ocean theme.  The sentiment was stamped on some die-cut waves and flock added to the tops of the waves.

Here's the simple inside.  I ended up stamping Happy 18th Birthday.
