Dr Digi: Gardening Gus

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here today with my Dr Digi Post.  Little late, due to some computer complications.

Decided to go ahead and start my Father's Day cards, before it flies by me and I'm too late.  This is Gardening Gus, he's getting ahead of the game for that Spring/Summertime yard work.  Which seems never ending around here.  The image is colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  I also used Dr Digi backing paper Seedlings and Father's Day Sentiments.

Here's the inside.

Lacy Sunshine: Just Because

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here today with my post for Lacy Sunshine.  This month's challenge on Facebook is all about Charlie....she is adorable.

I created a card using this sweet image called, Charlie's Flower.  I wanted cheerful colors for Charlie, so yellow it was.  The cream color seems to tone down the brightness of the yellow.  The image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  The perfect daisy lace is from Wild Orchid.

Here's the inside.

Dr Digi: 60 and Flossie

Hello crafty friends!   I'm here today with my Dr Digi post.  I was asked by a friend to create a card for a co-worker.  They wanted to over-exaggerate her age with this sweet image.

Meet Flossie Bumblethorpe, doesn't she look fabulous.  She is all dressed up and in her slippers for comfort.  I've been know to leave the house in my slippers, but in my defense, they have a hard rubber sole, easy to mistake them for regular shoes.  I wanted an old vintage, classic look to the design, this kind of reminds me of the 60s (pink, blue and checkered).  I had to add the fabric brad and crocheted flower.

Here's the inside.

stamps: Dr Digi: Flossie Bumblethorpe, Birthday Sentiment Sheet 1

Dr Digi: Yoga Relax

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here today with my Dr Digi post.

I created this card using Yogic Yulia from Dr Digi.  I actually like yoga, it stretches and strengthens my old bones.  It's not easy and you will sweat like crazy.  I think Yulia has found her balance.  Yulia is colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  The background is also from Dr Digi called Distress Drops Backing Paper.   This could be a great Mother's Day card.

Mix It Up! Challenge Blog #13: Emboss Resist

Hello crafty friends!  I have 4 wonderful posts for you today, so sit back on enjoy.

This post is for Mix It Up! Challenge Blog, this month's challenge is about "Emboss Resist".

I didn't have white embossing powder, so I tried stamping with versamark, then embossing with clear embossing powder.  It worked!!!  The white paper that I stamped on, became my background after layers of 3 different distressed inks were put down on top of the paper and embossing.   I was happy to finally use this stamp I've been hoarding for awhile and I think it looks great with this effect.  I distressed the edges of the die-cuts and distressed the cardboard piece.  You can use different colors of embossing powders, which I did try I couple with different images, but this turned out the best.  Remember it's all about trying new things :o)

Hello crafty friends!  I have 4 posts today, so make sure to checked them ALL out.

This is my project for Love to Craft! Challenge Blog, where every month is "Anything Goes".

This is a thank you card I created to give to my veterinarian and staff.  They were amazing when we needed to lay our 15 1/2 year old German Shepard down a little over a month ago.  It's never easy letting a fur baby go.   The image is from Polkadoodles called Vet/Dog Grooming from the Work & Play 12 Collection, that I colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  (you can buy the image separately, I gave both links)

Here's the inside...I just wrote in my message to the staff.
