Mix It Up Challenge Blog #35: Smooshing

Hello crafty friends :o)   Happy March .... Make sure you check out all the inspiration from all the sister blogs.

This is my post for MIUCB, this month we would like for you to try the Smooshing technique.

I have a lot of Unity stamps that have been collecting dust for years.  It is time to start putting ink on them.   I did the embossing ink, with white embossing powder.  Regular ink for the sentiment stamp.

For the 2nd card, I just stamped with black ink over the top of the smooshing.  For both cards I used alcohol inks for the smooshing technique.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog #44: Cosmetics Bags

Hello crafty friends :o)  New month ... New inspiration.  All the sister blogs post on the first of the month.  I hope you enjoy all the beautiful projects created.

This is my post for LTCCB

I have a friend that has 3 daughters, since I have all boys, I adopted her daughters for girlie things.  For Christmas I made each girl a cosmetic bags ... each with their own personality.

Who doesn't love this stamp from CAS-ual Fridays: WTF2

Being that they are originally from New York ... you learn their language.

I stamped her favorite quote inside the bag.

The oldest daughter has survived a brain tumor.  So I used positive strong women stamps from Unity Stamps to cover her bag.

The youngest daughter, who is very book nerdy, they tease her about being the "naughty" sister.  I've had this stamps from Unity for awhile and thought they were perfect for her bag.  I also decided to grunge it up and have some fun.

Each sister got a unique bag of their own, fitting of their personality :o)

Hello crafty friends :o)  I'm here today with my Dr Digi post.  I know it's past Valentine's Day, but it's still the month of LOVE.

This adorable image is from Dr Digi's critter line called Cuddly Critters Squirrel.  I think he is adorable and just full of love.  The sentiment is from Unity Stamps.

I decided to do the 3D layering technique with this rascal.  This technique is like solving a puzzle, making sure each piece that should be on top is the front piece.  The image is colored with my Prismacolor pencils.

Mix It Up Challenge Blog #34: Luv you a Latte

Hello crafty friends!  Here's my post for MIUCB, where every month we like to challenge you to try a new technique.  Get out of your comfort zone.  This month at MIUCB, we like to see projects with stenciling.

This big cup of latte stencil is part of STAMPlorations' ARTplorations line.  The stencil Coffe Cup is 3.75 x 5.25, so it's quite big.  I used 3 different colored distressed inks for the image.  A happy mistake: I accidentally went too far on the edge and created a small line off to the side of the stencil, so I decided for finish distressing the sides ... strips on the side.  The cute sentiment is from CC Designs.

Here's the inside.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog #43: Animal Bags

Hello crafty friends!  New month, new challenges and lots of inspirations between the 4 sisters blog going live today.

This post is for Love to Craft! Challenge Blog: Anything Goes every month.  We want to see what you have been working on in your crafting room (or area like myself)

As you can see the label on the bag, this is a Kit and Clowder coloring class.  Alyce released 3 different animal print canvas bags.  I did the zebra last year and finally made it to the last 2 bags. This elephant is just adorable :o)

The image was colored was my Prismacolor pencils.  I love how easy it is to color on canvas bags.

Here is the cute lion.  Alyce does video tutorials on how to color each.  Once you do one bag, it is so easy to do the next one.  I find coloring these bags very addicting.
