Dr Digi: Six -Paca

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here today with my Dr Digi post.

Sorry for the bad pun, but I couldn't help myself.  I used Alice the Alpaca times 6......colored 6 times with my Prismacolor Pencils.  The easy part was cutting out the cute little images, because I got a new machine that does that for me.  What use to take me hours, takes a minute now (insert happy dance).   The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from Dr Digi.  It wouldn't be complete without the Beer backing paper, also from Dr Digi.

Here's the inside.

Mix It Up Challenge Blog #25: Grungy

Hello crafty friends!  It's a new month already and Spring is here.    We have a new monthly challenge at Mix It Up Challenge Blog, this month we want to see some mixed media projects.

Those who have been following me for awhile, know that I take Kit and Clowder classes.  This was the last project I needed to do for the Mixed Media class.  It was 3 projects using the same image in different ways.  I wanted to be different, decided to use the class project image once and 2 different ones for the other 2 projects.  This image is Christmas Prayer from Saturated Canary, artist Krista Smith.

Sprayed the canvas first with ink, then laid some stenciling on top in different areas.  Brushed paint around the edges and image (using the dappling technique).  There are micro beads, flowers (painted with the same color paints), chipboard, embossing powered, gold flakes, wire string.   It was nice to use items from my crafting closet.

paper: scraps
embellishments: Kit and Clowder packet: chipboard, flowers, wire string, doily, Recollections: micro beads, Stampendeous: fragments, aged rose embossing, Ranger: indigo ink,
