Dr Digi: Frat House

Hello crafty friends!  Today is my Dr Digi post.  I'm running a little behind, because I was kicked off the computer, so my son could finish a project last night at the last minute.  Which went on pass my bedtime...lol.  Anyway, here's my post for today.

I created a tag to put on a bag full of cleaning supplies for my oldest son.  For some reason, they don't think about cleaning products for their new home.  They think the "cleaning fairy" will continue cleaning for them...lol.. Joke is on them.  Going over to visit, his room looks like a frat house!!  I'm all about keeping it clean.  I have 2 boys that are neat freaks like me and 2 boys that just don't care.  I used Spray Clean Stu for this tag.  Maybe Stu can give him some tips on how to keep it clean.

Here's another pic.  I made a tiny tag with a sentiment on it to add on.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

I would like to enter my tag in the following challenges:

stamps: Dr Digi: Spray Clean Stu, Unity: Bitty Regards (Sentiment)
paper: Bazzill: carrot cake & yellow, Recollections: blue, the Paper Studio: watercolor bubble stripe

Let's Craft & Create: Hope

Hello crafty friends!  This is my second post for the day.  We change the date by a couple of days at Let's Craft & Create, this is to allow a little extra time for you to play in the challenge.

For this challenge I created a card using Saturated Canary image Quiet (this image is part of the subscription images).  I colored this beauty with my Prismacolor pencils.  This month's challenge is to create your own background.  I colored a background around the image for starters.  I added a bow with a charm that has "hope" on it.

Then I created a background paper using staz on ink, alcohol inks and pearl mist (which I sprayed on heavy to make a dripping effect and you can't see in the pic anyway) on glossy photo paper.

Here's the inside.

Dr Digi: Hit The Road

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here today with my Dr Digi post.   With Summer time approaching us, many will be traveling for vacations.  I also have a couple of friends moveing far away for new scenery or job relocating.  I thought this fun image from Dr Digi was perfect and fun for those travelers.

Here's the image Summer Holiday colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  Found some background papers with maps, because they are traveling across the nation.  Yes, there is one hot pink suitcase for the Miss, because they are hippies and I threw in some hot pink stripe floss.

Here's the inside.

Creatalicious #115: Relax

Hello Crafty Friends!!  It's time for a new challenge at Creatalicious.  You have 2 weeks to create a project fitting this theme: Anything Goes with the optional stencils.  Have some fun creating and I can't wait to see your projects.

When making this card, I didn't think about it being a Mother's Day card, but a card for someone who might need a break.  Someone saw it and decided it would be the perfect Mother's Day card for her grandson to give to her daughter.  This relaxing card was made using Bloobel image Zen.  I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils.  For the stencils part of the challenge, I die-cut a corner die and used it as my stencil.  I really like the pattern of the die-cut and thought it match the designer paper.

Here's the inside.  (I added Happy Mother's Day, stamped in blue)

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Dr Digi: Smile

Hello crafty friends!  Today is my Dr Digi post and I just wanted to create something fun.  Of course Dr Digi has some fun images to work with.

This little sunshine was created using Dr Digi's Cheshire Cat image.  I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils using the color combo from the Alice movies.  The dp is also from Dr Digi from the Distressed Diamond pack.  The sentiment is from MFT, that was purrfect for this image.

Here's the inside where I used a Dr Digi sentiment from the Funny Sentiment Sheet 1.  Something about this sentiment just seemed fitting.  Might be a great card for a friend feeling down.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Love to Craft! Challenge Blog #10: Dream Book

Hello crafty friends!  Well, another month down and before you know it, we'll be busy with the holiday season.  UGH!  Right now, I'm enjoying the beautiful weather.  Working outside has been very nice, even though it's rather warm at times, but I like it hot.   I have been working on some projects inside and outside.  This is going to be a 2 part blog post for Love to Craft! Challenge Blog.

I'm working on a journal/sketch book for a young lady.  Every girl needs something to write, doodle and/or just put pics of their dreams, hopes and desires.  (It just so happens, she looks like some of the Saturated Canary images.)

I'm creating a journal/sketch book this month.   I've look high and low for a book that has blank pages and line pages contained in one book....no luck.  So, I bought 2, one blank page sketch book and one lined journal book.  My idea is to take some of the line pages out and use spray adhesive to attach to some blank pages.  I have all these ideas in my head and hope they work out, that's why there will be a part 2 of this post with what I'll do with the inside.

Here's the outside of the book.  I used the sketch book because it has a hardcover and I wanted more blank pages.  I wrapped the whole outside of the book with cardstock.  Picked out some designer papers that seemed fitting.  The metal corner pieces are from China and I used rub and dub paints to distress and antique them.  As you know Saturated Canary closed her store, but Krista has re-opened it and sells images in set of 5, but will never sell her subscription images from this past year and upcoming year.  I'm not sure if this was a store image or a subscription image, but it's called Ellie Awesome Sauce.

For the spine of the book, I used 2 ribbons.  The bottom ribbon is a burlap with lace on the edges.  The top ribbon is a blue cotton with burlap edges.

Since the book didn't have a bookmark or ribbon marker, I made one, using a leather cord, some beads and a charm.

I decided to fold the cardstock over the edges of the book and it looked unfinished inside.  To give it a clean look, I put some dp on the front and back inside covers.  This is the front cover.

This is the back cover.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

Hopefully I'll have more for you next month!
