Dr Digi: Charge

Hello crafty friends!  Today I'm here with my Dr Digi post.  I have some friends that can be very wild, childish some may say, but you know what, they are enjoying life to the fullest.  This Dr Digi image, Charge, says it all.

The great sentiment also came from Dr Digi's Funny Sentiment Sheet 1, which is just perfect for this fun image.  Wheel barrels were also so much fun as a kid and so are wagon rides.  Maybe a little fun is what we all need in life.  The image was colored with my trusty Prismacolor pencils.  The backing paper is also from Dr Digi.  The one behind the image was the true color, but for some reason when I printed it again (twice, as you can see in the inside of the card) it came out a different color.  I think my printer is on it's last leg or something.

Here's the inside.

Spider Maiden

Hello crafty friends!  Just sharing another mythical maiden colored image from Christopher Kerry.

I really love the images from this class and coloring packet, something about mythical creatures that really catches your attention.  I gave her purple tones in her skin, just trying out some new blends. I didn't know what to do with sky at first, but knew it needed more orange, to go with her orange spots.  This was really fun to color and to watch it transform from black and white lines to this.  This image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils.

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here today with the Let's Craft and Create mid-post inspiration.  The challenge theme is Just Beachy or Red, White and/or Blue.

Using this cute Saturated Canary/Krista Smith image Beach Blanket to create my Just Beachy theme card.  The image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils, with the sky being sponged with ink.  I did use a little bit of a white ink pen to put caps on the waves.  No beach card is finish without some flip flops.

Here's the inside.

Creatalicious #119: Summer

Hello crafty friends!  It's time for another challenge at Creatalicious.  We are enjoying some Summer fun and want to see your summery projects.

I created a card using sponsor image Run Derek Run from Dr Digi.  During the summer, so many people start their exercising programs by running outside to finally soak up some of that sun.  Or maybe you are a walker, that needs some sunshine to get away from the kids :o)   I colored this image with my Prismacolor pencils.  A die cut of little houses and a map for Derek to follow to finish up this design.

Here's the inside.

Dr Digi: Coffee Makes Me Poop

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here today with my Dr Digi post.

When I saw Dr Digi's new Coffee Sentiments, this one really stuck out!  I couldn't help myself but make a simple goofy card.  I used Photoshop to color the sentiment the colors I wanted.   I found the paper on Etsy, because you have to have some poop paper to go with the sentiment.

Here's the inside.  Maybe this card can bring a smile to someone having a bad day :o)

Mythical Maidens

Hello crafty friends!  It's been awhile since I shared some coloring with you.  Sometimes it's nice just to coloring and not worry about making it into a project.

I love Christopher Kerry's images..the details and unique images he has are my favorites.

How about this female centaur kicking some snake butt?!!   This was the class image for Christopher's online coloring class.  He teaches how to color with a booklet and videos for this image, but then gives you 4 equally beautiful image to perfect the technique on your own (which I will share some later).  Even though Christopher teaches in Copic markers, I colored this image with Prismacolor pencils.  Yup, I prefer the pencil method.

Here's the the link to Christopher's Mythical Maiden coloring pages.  At the end of the month, he makes the class images available for others to purchase who didn't take his class.

Love to Craft! Challenge Blog #12: Dream Book Part 2

Hello crafty friends!  It's a new month and that's means...somehow we are through half of the year already.  UGH!  We have a new monthly challenge for you at Love to Craft! Challenge Blog.  We want to see what is keeping you crafty busy.

A couple of months ago, I posted a journal/sketch book (click for the original post) I was creating for a special young lady.  I think I'm done with my part and it's time to hand it over to her to fill with her dreams.  I want to share just a few pages of what I came up with, because it's a huge book.

Even though I posted the front cover in the original post, I changed it up just a tiny bit, by adding another leave and some twine around the flowers.  I really didn't want to cover up the beautiful paper.

As I stated before, I couldn't find a journal/sketch book, so I made my own by taking 2 books and creating one book that would fit exactly what I wanted for her.  Something she could write, doodle and paste pics into.  I tore out the pages from the lines journal book and used spray adhesive to tack them down into the sketch book.  Some of the pages I stamped inspiring quotes.

Some of the pages I added designer paper behind the line pages.  I also cut them to different sizes.  Stamped images for her to color.

This page allows pics or doodles to be added.

Her own image to color and make it hers.

Some pages, I even added small metal accents.

More encouraging words.

Lastly, I added a couple more images I colored.  Since she excels in school, this image from Saturated Canary called Diane, seemed perfect and studious.

There are also blank pages for her to do whatever or add whatever she wants.

Knowing she likes science, this image from Saturated Canary called Beauty and the Beaker needed to be added to her book.

This book is huge and just filled (weighing almost 4 lbs), so I only took a few pics of the inside or this would have been a very long heavily pictured post.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

I would like to enter my book in the following challenges:

stamps: Saturated Canary: Ellie Awesomesauce, Diane, Beauty and the Beaker, Unity Stamps
