Dr Digi: Happy Bday Sexy Beast

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here to day with my Dr Digi post.  Today I'm sharing a birthday card I made for my brother.  Originally from Illinois were gangster are known to have been, this image Tommy Gunn seems fitting.  My brother's favorite saying "I'm so cool, I'm down right frosty", so yes, this is perfect for him.

The image is colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  The backing paper is from Tim Holtz, which is an inventory sheet, I believe gangster would keep track of everything.

Here's the inside, also with a Dr Digi sentiment from the Saucy Sentiments.

Let's Craft & Create: Hey Dude

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here with the mid-post inspiration for Let's Craft and Create.  This month we are looking for manly projects, because the challenge is HEY DUDE!

I created a manly card using Just Ink Lined image, Like Father Like Son. I colored the image with my Prismacolr pencils and gave it a western feel with the papers and burlap.  Even the roughed up distress paper edges give it that manly feel.

Here's the inside.

There Be Dragons Here

Hello crafty creative friends!  I'm here today with another colored image from Christopher Kerry.  I really love coloring the detailed images that Christopher draws.  They are beautiful and really come to life when coloring.

Christopher had a class all about dragons.  Here's the first dragon that I colored (which was the class image) using Prismacolor pencils.  The technique he was teaching was about blending.  There is a video and booklet with the class image, the other 4 images included in the class, you are on your own.  Christopher will guide with the other images as well, if needed.  I'll post some of my other dragons when I have time to finish coloring them up.

winner will receive 3 images of choice

My image is from the sponsor Bugaboo Digi Stamps called Kidz Bus.  I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils.  After the image was colored and I was looking through my stash of papers, I realized the school papers I had were soft colors.  This bright yellow bus just was too loud for them.  Searching Etsy....I found these papers that were a better match for my project.  Thank goodness for digi papers.

Here's the inside.

Dr Digi: Netflix and Chill

Hello crafty friends!!  I'm here today with my Dr Digi post.  Just got back from vacation and I'm exhausted.  Had a family reunion up in the mountains for a couple of days, then headed back to my roots to visit my parents and family.  With 4 hours of sleep, I drove 12 hours back home...now it's today and it's catching up with me.

Caffeinated Craig seemed to be the perfect choice for today's post.  He just wants to watch Netflix and Chill.  Both the image and sentiment is from Dr Digi.  Craig was colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  Even the pretty backing paper is from Dr Digi called New wave.

Here's the inside.

Mix It Up #4: Peas Forgive Me

Hello crafty friends!  I have 2 posts for today!  It's a brand new month and a new challenge at Mix It Up Challenge Blog.  This month we are looking for projects with "Paper Piecing", which is always fun to do.

I decided to create a very simple card this time.  Using this cute stamp set from Unity stamps called Peas, Peas, Peas, to create this sweet card.   I only had to stamp the image 3 times and piece it together.  I bought this image years ago and I'm finally getting to ink it up.

Here's the inside.

Love to Craft! Challenge Blog #13: Flower Bag

Hello crafty friends!  I have 2 posts for you today.  This is my Love to Craft! Challenge Blog post to start off a new month.  Right now, I'm traveling home to visit family and enjoying the rest of what's left of summer.

This month I'm sharing a canvas bag that I colored.  As you can see, it's a Kit and Clowder bag that I purchased  (they were sold out super fast too).  Alyce teaches how to take care of your bag and how you can color with markers or color pencils.  I used my trusty Prismacolor pencils to color up the bag.  Afterwards, I set it with an iron and to get rid of the wrinkles from the travel.

Even though it could still fade in time, all I have to do...is color it up again.  I will tell you, it was a different way of coloring to make sure you don't snag the bag.  Learning new things is always good :o)
