Dr Digi: Naughty or Nice

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here today with my Dr Digi post.

When this new image was being released near Christmas, we thought it was Santa.  He his not Santa but Bath Time Bernie.  The image is colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  Yes, I colored him to be Santa anyway, images need new twist on them.  I thought a cute and fun sentiment would be perfect.

Here's the inside.

Dr Digi Arcade

Hello crafty friends!  Here today with my Dr Digi post.

Halloween is coming and I also have a little guy that's birthday is coming.  This papercraft from Dr Digi called Arcade Papercarft.  It can be used as a cute decoration or an awesome treat box.  Just cut out, fold and paste.

Little tip I learned after cutting and pasting.  Before you paste it all together.  Take a black sharpie or marker and make the edges of the tab black.  That way, they don't show if you don't put it together seamlessly.

Homeschooling for 15 years, you would think I would have bookmarks coming out of my ears.  I think the books eat them, because they seem to disappear.  Since my youngest loves dogs (pugs really), I created a bookmark using this cute doggie image from TiddlyInks called Flying High Doggie

Dr Digi: I Was Wrong

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here today with my post for Dr Digi.

I'm sure you have watched America's Got Talent, so when I saw this image Got Talent? from Dr Digi, I knew I had to do something clever with it.  It could be for a promotion or if a person did a good job on something, but I went with a sorry card.  Some times we don't say it enough, when we are in the wrong.  The image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils, the background sponged.

Here's the inside.

Mix It Up! Challenge Blog #17: School Days

Hello craft friends!  This is my 4 posts day, so lots of inspiration today for you to enjoy.  This post is for Mix It Up! Challenge Blog , where this month's challenge is all about "layers".

I love me some Saturated Canary images by Krista Smith, so many I haven't gotten to.  Even though she doesn't have her store to still shows her work on her blog and through children's workshops.  Since school has started or is about to start, I thought this image Coffee and Books was perfect to use.   The image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  There's about 6 layers on this card, which is more than the challenge asked for.  I even used paint and some spray inks, made sure I had some texture.

Here's the inside.

Love to Craft! Challenge Blog #26: Mermaid

Hello crafty friends!  This post is for Love to Craft! Challenge Blog where every month is "Anything Goes".  Don't forget to join us in our other sisters challenge blogs.

It's been awhile since I've shared a coloring page.  This is actually from the Kit and Clowder monthly pencil class from May 2016 and I just finally got to coloring this beauty.  The image Le Perla Stamp is from Janna Fairy Art and is colored with Prismacolor pencils.  Even though I color all the time, it's still nice to sit down and take a class to learn new ideas.  The coloring alone is very therapeutic and I don't have to worry about turning it into a project.  I have a few more Kit and Clowder monthly classes to start, hopefully I can share them in the future.

Mix It Up! Challenge Blog #16: My Cocoa

Hello again crafty friends!  New month, lots of inspiration posts to get your mojo going.

This is my post for Mix It Up! Challenge Blog and this month challenge is "Anything Goes + optional Acrylic Block Stamping".

I created this cute and fun card using the acrylic block stamping technique and some die-cuts.  I probably need more practice with this technique, but it was fun to learn.  Need to make sure I use it again later.  The cocoa cup is a die-cut from the stamp-set Coffee & Cocoa, of course I used some of the stamps from this set.

I use a stamping pad when I stamp to help with pressure.  To make sure I don't get it messy, I put a scrap piece of paper over it.  I decided not to use the bright yellow gelatos.

Here's the inside.

Dr Digi: Sit Happens

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here with my Dr Digi post.  This little bugger was a hard one!!

I created a card using Buddhist Bernie.  The image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  You are probably wondering what so hard about this cute and easy design.   Why I needed yoga and sitting after this card.

Getting the picture to look like the card.  The bright foil background paper made it very difficult getting the pic to look correct.  Bernie's clothes didn't look like, his skin tones didn't look right, the background was smacking you the face with it's brightness.  Bernie was a good sport and after 50+ pics I finally decided on the closes ones and moved on.  He is still sitting happily on his pillow.  Namaste Bernie :o)

Here's the bright inside.
