Scrapping4fun Challenge #41

I want to thank all you for your sweet comments, it really means a lot to me.  Thank you to my followers.

I hope everyone is ready for another challenge at Scrapping4fun!  For the next 2 weeks it's Anything Goes, but we also want to see some "flags" on your project.  Can't wait to see your projects!

I have quite a few stamps waiting in my craft closet to be used for the first time and this little cutie is one of them.  It's a stamp set from My Favorite Things (MFT), It's a Pirates Life (sadly it's not available anymore).  I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils.  I stamped the clouds from the set and fussy cut them out.  This stamp set came with 14 stamps, which included the sentiment.  I will admit, I did change the sentiment somewhat.  The original said "Arr! I Forgot Your Birthday", but I didn't want that.  So, I carefully cut the "I Forgot" part out, so I can use it later as a complete stamp.  MFT Fishtail Flag Stax die-cut was used for the sentiment and the side flags.  A little twine going through eyelets was needed for the finishing touch.

Here's the inside, using yet another stamp from the set.

thanks for looking and reading :o) hope to see you in the challenge!!

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:

stamp used: MFT It's a Pirates Life
paper used: MFT wild cherry, the Paper Studio white & black
die-cut used: MFT Fishtail Flag Stax
embellishments used: eyelets & Really Reasonable Ribbon twine

Scrapping4fun - #40 Anything Goes + Use Lace or Ribbon

Hello fellow crafters!  I hope everyone is enjoying their Spring.  I love watching the flowers sprout and bloom.  I also hope you are ready for another challenge at Scrapping4fun!  For the next 2 weeks, we want to see your projects for Anything Goes plus Use Lace or Ribbon.  It's easy as it sounds.

I thought this image would be easy to add lace or ribbon and I'll get a head start on my Mother's Day cards.  This cute image is from Bugaboo called Kidz Like Mom.  I colored the image with water color and regular color pencils.  For the lace or ribbon part of the challenge, I used an organza ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbons.  There is a strip behind the image and dp paper wrapping around.  Then using my heat gun, very carefully not to burn the ribbon, to give it some crinkles.  After I got the ribbon the way I wanted it, I squished some flowers and pearls into the ribbon.  (The flowers were white, so I took some Gelatos to color  them.)

Liquid Pearls was used for the necklace and earrings.  Yes, her little cheeks are dark, because she is playing dress up.  I hate to see what she does with the lipstick!

Here's the inside.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

I got to use this ubber cute image Dew Drop Inn from Pattie's Creations.  I colored the digital image with water color and regular color pencils.  The sky was sponged with some clouds and some of the grass was sponged too.  As you can see I went with dots for this challenge.  There are also dots on the ribbon.  I wanted to put something on the little wooden sign, but I couldn't make up my mind what to do...lol.  I used the Welcome to the Neighborhood sentiment, since there are currently 4 houses for sell in my neighborhood and 1 is across the street.  We might be getting some new neighbors.

Scrapping4Fun #39 Anything Goes...

Happy April and Spring fellow bloggers and crafters!  Are you ready for another challenge at Scrapping4fun?  It's an easy one and a favorite among many.....Anything Goes with 3 embellishments.  That's right, we want to see 3 of one embellishment.

I found this cute little stamp set at the Stampfest in Florida last year and I'm finally getting some time to ink it up.  This is Doggone Good by Darcie's.  I colored the image with color pencils.  Yes, I colored white on sorta white.  Lol.

I decided to try a frame card and make a scene.  I've had this fence die laying around for years and have never used it.  Lots of grass was needed for the doggie to play around.  The 3 brads are the paw prints and bone, around and on the sentiment.

One thing I liked most of Darcie's stamps sets, they have these cute buttons that coordinate with the images.  I use one on the dog playing.  I also have buttons to go with the dog sitting, but I didn't want 2 white dogs.  You need to color the images to match whatever color the buttons are, which is no big deal to me.  I also have buttons to do shrink-a-dinks images, they make the cutest buttons to wear.

Here's the inside.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

stamps used: Darcie's Doggone Good
paper used: MFT primitive white & banana split, scraps
die-cuts used: La-la Land fence, MFT fresh cut grass, MFT grassy edges, MFT mix & match banners
embellishments: Recollections brads

Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog We're Turning Two Hop

We're Turning Two!!

The Love To Scrap! Challenge Blog is turning TWO this month! To celebrate, we're excited to bring you our "We're Turning Two" Blog Hop! We're being sponsored byAuroraWings! Come hop with us for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to the AuroraWings Etsy Shop!

As you hop, collect letters at each stop and be sure to leave each designer some love. Once you have collected all the letters, unscramble them and email your guess to ltscb@mail.com - then all the correct guesses will be entered into the drawing for the Aurora Wings gift certificate!

All of the LTSCB designers are using 'two of something' on our inspiration projects. Everyone participating in the blog hop is invited to link up a project using 'two of something' for an EXTRA entry into the drawing! **Be sure to use the same email address to email your guess and to link up your project so we can make sure you're given two entries into the drawing!**

For this blog hop I got to use the image Marie Antoinette Big Hair.  I decided to make 2 projects since we are turning two.

My first project is a tag.  I used 2 die-cuts, 2 pearls, 2 shades of blue paper, 2 ribbons, and the lace only has 2 scallops.  Because the image was so small, it was hard for me to watercolor it first, so it's just regular color pencils.

Of course Marie Antoinette needed a crown and some feathers.

I sponged some ink around the image.  Some Liquid Pearls were applied on her pearls with a toothpick and a very steady hand.  There is a lot of detail in this small image!

For my second project I made a gift bag, complete with a crown topper.  This image was colored with water color and regular color pencils.  My twos are 2 charms (crown and the cupcake on top), 2 layers of 2 different pieces of lace, 2 pearls, 2 shades of blue paper and the number 2.

Here's the cupcake charm on top.

Just like the tag, I applied Liquid Pearls to her pearls.  If this counts, I used 2 different colors of Liquid Pearls; silver and gold.

thanks for looking and reading :o)

My letters are N and A.

Here are your blog hop stops:

We hope you are enjoying the hop and if you get lost along the way - or if you landed here in the middle of the hop and want to join in the fun - head over to the Love To Scrap!Challenge Blog to read all the details and start from the beginning!

Happy Hopping!

Scrapping4fun Challenge #38 Spring/Easter

Hello crafty followers!  I hope everyone is enjoying their weather.  It's still a little crazy here, some days it's warm and others days it's too cool to play outside, but Spring is around the corner :o)  For our next challenge at Scrapping4fun we want to see Spring/Easter projects.

Here's my Spring/Easter card.

Just in case you need an inspiration photo to get the juices flowing.

I've had this stamp sitting around for a LONG while (the package say 2009), it was time to be used.  It's Easter Flower Corner by Serendipity Stamps.  The image was colored by my water color and regular color pencils, if you haven't noticed, they are my favorite to use.  Being Easter and Spring inspiration, pastel colors are a must.  The lace is from my stash, I've had it since 2001 from my sewing days.  The cross brad seem fitting and it has a dove on it.

Here's the inside of the card.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up Well Scripted.

thanks for looking and reading :o)  Hope to see you in the challenge.

Scrapping4fun #37 Anything Goes

Hello crafty friends!  It's hard to believe it's already March.  Ethan, one of the middle boys, is celebrating his 10th birthday on March 6th.  So, for this Anything Goes challenge at Scrapping4fun, I decided the little gift card bag I decorated would be perfect.

Since he likes magical things, I used this image from Just Ink Lined called Wizzbook.  I colored it with my watercolor and regular color pencils.  Then, I fussy cut the image out.  The ribbon I used is a deep purple on one side and black on the other.  A little tag was needed and aged to perfection, since it's a birthday gift .

Some Stickles were added to the staff globe, I'm sure there is a technical name for it.

I got this little burlap bag at Hobby Lobby.  As you can see (the little bit of hot pink card peering through), it's the perfect size for a gift card.  A little metal present was added to the back flap and some pearls to finish up where the ribbon came together.  Simple and easy :o)

thanks for looking and reading :o)

I would like to enter this bag into the following challenges:
stamps used: Just Ink Lined-Wizzbook (digital), SU-Short & Sweet (rubber)
paper used: the Paper Studio-white
die-cut used: MFT-Traditional Tag Stax
embellishments used: RRR Ribbon, metal present (from Michaels), Recollections pearl stickers, Stickles, jute
