Mix It Up Challenge Blog #34: Luv you a Latte

Hello crafty friends!  Here's my post for MIUCB, where every month we like to challenge you to try a new technique.  Get out of your comfort zone.  This month at MIUCB, we like to see projects with stenciling.

This big cup of latte stencil is part of STAMPlorations' ARTplorations line.  The stencil Coffe Cup is 3.75 x 5.25, so it's quite big.  I used 3 different colored distressed inks for the image.  A happy mistake: I accidentally went too far on the edge and created a small line off to the side of the stencil, so I decided for finish distressing the sides ... strips on the side.  The cute sentiment is from CC Designs.

Here's the inside.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog #43: Animal Bags

Hello crafty friends!  New month, new challenges and lots of inspirations between the 4 sisters blog going live today.

This post is for Love to Craft! Challenge Blog: Anything Goes every month.  We want to see what you have been working on in your crafting room (or area like myself)

As you can see the label on the bag, this is a Kit and Clowder coloring class.  Alyce released 3 different animal print canvas bags.  I did the zebra last year and finally made it to the last 2 bags. This elephant is just adorable :o)

The image was colored was my Prismacolor pencils.  I love how easy it is to color on canvas bags.

Here is the cute lion.  Alyce does video tutorials on how to color each.  Once you do one bag, it is so easy to do the next one.  I find coloring these bags very addicting.

Hello crafty freinds!  Today is my 4 blog posts of the sister blogs.   This post is for MLCCB, where it's Christmas projects all year around.

Another Christmas bag, but this one has a cute reindeer I stamped on it.  The image is from Unity Stamps called, Let It Snow (I'm Ready).   I colored it with my Prismacolor pencils, added some embossing powder around it (which was difficult).

Mix It Up Challenge Blog #33: Go Kart Birthday

Hello crafty friends!  4 post blog day.  This post is for MIUCB and this month we would like to see Paper Piecing in your projects.

This was a custom card that I made for someone's brother who races go karts.  The colors matched his go kart that he races.  I also changed the number to his number.  The image is from Polkadoodles: Go Karter

Doing these 3D paper piecing images, can be like a puzzle.  You have to figure out which pieces lay in front of the next piece or how many layers you really want.

There were 11 layers by the time I was done piecing each piece.  Lots of cutting and layering

Here is the inside of the card.  The sentiment is from the Polkadoodles Work and Play 2, which includes the image, sentiments and the banner paper I used.

Love to Craft! Challenge Blog #42: Steampunk Love Birthday

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here with my post for LTCCB

I was SO happy when someone asked me to make them a birthday card for their boyfriend and this was the image they picked.  I've loved this image and wanted to color it for a long time, just no time or reason to.   The artist is Jade Dragonne, the image Steampunk Boudoir.

The image was colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  I had to place a metal love label, since it was to her boyfriend.  Some gears and little grunge look to finish the card.

I used this sentiment on the top fold of the inside of the card.

Here is the bottom fold of the inside.

stamps: Jade Dragonne: Steampunk Boudoir, Unity: Nice Butt, Party All Day
paper: bazzill, recollections, MME: Four Miles Stripe
embellishments: bead landing: gears, the Paper Studio: lace, charm, Stampendous: embossing powder

Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog #129: Music Bags

Hello crafty friends!  Today is the 4 posts of the sister blogs, so sit back and be inspired.

This is my post for LTSCB, this month "Anything Goes" .

I'm always in the need for gift bags for different little items.  These are for some music lovers in my life.

I used 2 different Unity Stamps: Worn Music and Cassette Tape Tunes.  Staz-on ink and Memento Luxe ink for mixed media are wonderful for these bags.

On this bag, I decided to use the sentiment that came with the set.
