Egyptian Life

Hello crafty friends :o)  I'm here with my Lacy Sunshine, also known as Colour of Love by Heather Valentin.

Some new images are in the store.  This is Eleanor and Pickles Egyptians.  I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils.  The pyramids and wall were drawn in with permission.

I added some metal pieces, but painted and inked them up to go with the Egyptian theme.

A metal brand used at the bottom with the same technique.

Here's the inside.

This adorable image is called Gnome Sweet Gnome from Dr Digi.  I colored it with my Prismacolor pencils and sponged the sky background.  Kept it simple, so the image stands out.

Sorry, I'm still having fun with my Cut N Scan.  This is a svg file Christmas Ornament Shape Card from The Cutting Cafe.  It comes with a few options for sentiment.   I used a Stampin Up stamp set for the center snowflake and added some bling.  It wouldn't be a Christmas card without a little jingle bell :o)

Mix It Up Challenge Blog #38: Flower Mixed Tag

Hello crafty friends :o)  Here's my post for Mix It Up Challenge Blog, where every month we want you to try something new and get your creative mojo moving.  This month we want you to use Acrylic Block Stamping.

Many of my stamps are cling, so I have some blocks for stamping.  I decided to so a mixed media little tag.

I used alcohol inks on the block to create a background.  The tag was painted first, then the block with the inks.  Some scrap papers painted and blocked on.  I stamped a magnolia stamp on the tag and lightly colored it some.

Button, twine, dry flowers, and other embellishments to finish it.

thanks for reading and looking :o)

Here's a simple and cute cutting file from The Cutting Cafe.  This file Santa's Hat is just cute as can be and it does come with it's own sentiments, but I used a stamp I had.  Some soft ink around the white edges and frant-age for texture.  I little baker's twine as an accent.

Just a peek of the inside.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog #46: Mixed Media Bird Tag

Hello crafty friends!   This is my post for Love to Craft Challenge Blog,  every month is Anything Goes.   We want to see what you have been crafting.

The image Birds Hair from artist Julia Spiri was color with my Prismacolor pencils.  I decided to make a mixed media tag.  Paint, scrap paper, tissue, sewing maching stitching, ink, gold & purple paint, cheese cloth:  just for the background.  After the sewing the stitches, I couldn't stand looking at the back of the tag, so I fixed it .

I did the same technique with a new tag to place over the back of the front tag, but without the stitching.  This little wooden bird has been sitting in my craft closet for awhile, some gesso paint, ink and gold paint to tie it into the project.

I would like to enter this tag in the following challenges:

stamps: Julia Spiri: Birds Hair
