Love to Craft! Challenge Blog #19: 85th Birthday

Hello crafty friends!  I have 3 posts for today, so make sure you check them all out, because there are 3 new challenges happening.  This post is for Love to Craft! Challenge Blog, where it's "Anything Goes" every month.

I was ask to create a birthday card for a friend's mother.  She picked out the colors and I just colored the image up with my Prismacolor pencils.  I was a little unsure when she picked out coral and teal (a bad 80's wedding combo was in my head), but when done right, they are beautiful together.  This image is from Power Poppy.

Here's the inside, which was her sentiment she wanted.

Mix It Up Challenge Blog #9: Let's Hang Out

Hello crafty friends!  Happy New Year!  I hope each one of you are blessed and have a healthy new year in 2018.

Since it's a new month, I have 3 wonderful posts for you today...enjoy.

This month at Mix It Up Challenge Blog, it's all about masking.  In this photo, I stamped the image that I wanted in front of the scenery that I was creating on mask paper.  Then carefully cut it out.

I stamped the image on the cardstock I was using for my card, then put the mask paper over that image.  Then stamped happily over the mask image.

After I was done stamping everything I needed behind the image, I pulled the mask paper off.  The tire swing and the grass were the main images I didn't want on the little girl.

The images are colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  It was nice to finally use this stamp set I bought years ago at My Favorite Things (MFT).  My goal this year is to use more my of my stamps in my collection, because many are unused.

Here's the inside.
